‘Below Deck’ Star Captain Sandy Wants in on Future ‘Traitors’ Season

Captain Sandy Yawn has proven herself a force to be reckoned with over the last 10 seasons steering luxury yachts on “Below Deck Mediterranean.” Now, the reality star is opening up about potentially leaving her life on the high seas for a stint on dry land on a future season of “The Traitors.”

The fourth season of the Emmy-winning cloak-and-dagger reality competition series is just months away from making its triumphant return to streaming with a brand new cast of stars from series like “Survivor,” “Big Brother,” “Real Housewives” and more.

Captain Sandy Says She’d ‘For Sure’ Play ‘The Traitors’

While a “Below Deck” cast member hasn’t joined the Alan Cumming-hosted murder-mystery series since alum Kate Chastain emerged as an instant fan favorite in back-to-back appearances on Season 1 and Season 2, Captain Sandy didn’t hesitate when asked if she’d ever consider joining the Peacock phenomenon.

“Yes, I would do ‘The Traitors’ for sure,” she told Parade in an exclusive interview.

Unlike her role on “Below Deck,” where Yawn’s authority as captain is held in high regard, “The Traitors” requires its contestants to not only compete in greuling challenges to add money to the prize pot – worth up to $250,000 – but also to work secretly to uncover the identities of the “traitors” hidden among their ranks. The players selected as “traitors,” conversely, must “kill off” their “faithful” counterparts in the dead of night without being detected. At the Round Table, both Faithfuls and Traitors alike will vote to banish the player they think has blood on their hands.

If the Faithfuls manage to banish all of the Traitors successfully, they win an equal share of the prize pot. However, if even one Traitor remains at the end of the game, the entirety of the (up to) $250,000 goes to them and them alone.

The ‘Below Deck’ Isn’t Sure if She’d be Able to Win the Show

As to how Captain Sandy thinks she’d fare on the competition series, she admitted she was unsure of her abilities to deceive as a Traitor, or to root out decievers as a Faithful.

“I don’t know how well I would do,” she revealed, acknowledging the disparity between “Below Deck” and “The Traitors” before adding, “I would do my best.”

While the upcoming fourth season of the series won’t feature any of Yawn’s “Below Deck” co-stars, it will feature plenty of Bravo alum, namely “Real Housewive” stars like Lisa Rinna, Porsche Williams and Dorinda Medley.

A premiere date for “The Traitors” Season 4 has yet to be announced, though it will likely debut sometime in January 2026, in line with the airing schedule of past seasons. Additionally, a fifth season of the series has been green-lit at Peacock, a subsidiary of NBC, and will likely premiere in early 2027, potentially with Captain Sandy Yawn on its cast.
