Mercedes “MJ” Javid and Tommy Feight are parting ways after seven years of marriage. The “Shahs of Sunset” star filed for divorce in Los Angeles on Friday night, marking the end of a relationship that fans had watched blossom on screen and beyond.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Javid listed their date of separation as October 17, just a week before filing. She cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split and asked the court to deny spousal support for both parties. Javid and Feight, who married on April 21, 2018, share a 6-year-old son, Shams.
TMZ reported that a court hearing is set for December 18, marking the next step in what appears to be an amicable separation centered on co-parenting and family stability. In her filing, Javid requested sole physical and legal custody of their child but expressed openness to a visitation schedule for Feight.
Once a Reality TV Power Couple
Javid and Feight first captured viewers’ hearts on Bravo’s “Shahs of Sunset,” where their romance played out on-screen. The reality series ran for nine seasons between 2012 and 2021, chronicling the lives of Persian-American friends in Los Angeles.
Throughout their marriage, the pair shared their ups and downs with fans both on the show and later on their podcast, “Till The Dirt,” which offered a candid look at their relationship and personal growth.
In January 2024, the couple even discussed their shared goals for the year, promising to “keep each other accountable” as they moved forward together. Heartbroken fans are reacting to the split.

For her part, Javid often celebrated her husband and their life as parents. In a 2023 Father’s Day tribute, she wrote, “Thank you for being such a loving, devoted dad. We are so incredibly blessed to be parents to our little boy.”
