Season 4 of “The Traitors” will premiere Jan. 8 on Peacock and fans. Are. Ready.

Porsha Williams sat down with ET to unpack her experience on the competition show. 

Upon arriving in Scotland — “The Traitors” is filmed at Andross Castle in the Scottish Highlands, btw — Porsha’s strategy was to be “open and honest, and to be aggressive when it came to what my role was.” What was her role exactly — Traitor or Faithful? Well, she obviously didn’t divulge that!

She’s learned from previous seasons that a lot of people tend to come on and take more of a lowkey or backseat approach, but not Porsha. Not that this is a surprise to anyone who’s familiar with her work on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” where when Porsha enters a room, you know!

What’s the Tea on Porsha’s Fellow Competitors?

When it comes to Donna Kelce, aka Mama Kelce, the football matriarch is a feverish “Housewives” fan. “I thought she was so sweet, so cool, laid back.” But not too laid back. While some personalities may have had the idea to come onto “Traitors” in the hopes of buttering up Mama Kelce to cozy up to Taylor Swift… Porsha says that was absolutely not an option. “She’s not easy to butter up. She was either talking to you or not. She’s not this super open person with everyone. She’s very reserved and can be a little bit intimidating. But if she likes you, she’s sweet as pie.”

Of Dorinda Medley, who was participating in her second “Traitors” go-round, Porsha says she loves her and everyone was “super emotional” to see her back, but can’t say anything more than that since they’re sworn to secrecy. When it comes to Candiace Dillard Bassett, Porsha admitted that they weren’t on the best of terms at the beginning of season 3 of “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy,” where they both starred, but says their time on “Traitors” was cool.

There are quite a few familiar faces from “The Real Housewives” on this season — Lisa Rinna, Caroline Stanbury, Dorinda, Candiace, and herself — and Porsha clocked how they “150,00%” had a target on their backs. Going into this experience, she assumed it was just something people said — that the housewives were targeted more than the other competitors — but after experiencing it first-hand, Porsha acknowledges that this is totally true. 

When asked if there was anyone who scared Porsha going into the competition, Michael Rappaport was the first name that jumped to mind. He’s a well-known “Housewives” superfan, and Porsha was a bit unsure of how he would use that to his advantage. 

And on Jan. 8, we can all see if he does.

But Asghari isn’t just flexing muscles — he’s reflecting on his past with surprising maturity.

In the accompanying interview, he referenced an Iranian proverb about loyalty and appreciation for shared meals, saying people should “celebrate the past, appreciate it and not dwell on the fact it’s over.”

He added, “Be happy it ever even happened.”

Asghari & Spears Relationship Timeline

Spears and Asghari first met in October 2016 on the set of her “Slumber Party” music video.

Their romance went public in early 2017, and they spent years supporting each other — especially during Spears’ conservatorship battle.

After getting engaged in September 2021, they married on June 9, 2022, in a star-studded ceremony with less than 100 guests. 

In early 2022, the couple revealed they were expecting a child, but sadly Britney miscarried the following month.

Their marriage lasted just 14 months; they separated in August 2023 and their divorce was finalized in May 2024.

Despite the split, Asghari has spoken respectfully of their time together — calling it a “blessing” and expressing gratitude for their shared memories.

What’s Next for Asghari?

After being one of the faithfuls on Season 3 of “The Traitors,” Asghari plans to continue to act.

While he prefers to try to remain private, he stated he’s looking forward to what is next.

“Because at the end of the day, I do have a future,” he added. “I was acting before that relationship… and I will continue acting.”

He said that even after his limelight romance with Spears, he is still the same person he was when he first came to the United States.

“I’m going to be the Sam that I was when I moved to America,” he noted. “Because I’m still the person with the same enthusiasm, with the same positivity, with the same energy.”

How Did Boston Rob & Dylan Efron Meet?

Boston Rob, who began his reality competition career on the cast of “Survivor: Marquesas” in 2004, has since appeared on the Jeff Probst-hosted series a total of five times, not including a season of mentoring new castaways on “Island of the Idols.” 

By the time Mariano joined the cast of “The Traitors” Season 3 in January 2025, he’d already won “Survivor,” competed on “The Amazing Race” and starred in “Deal or No Deal Island,” alongside a slew of other reality TV appearances. 

Efron, on the other hand, joined the cast of “The Traitors” as a relative newbie to the world of reality TV, having only previously appeared on his brother’s eco-themed travel series “Down to Earth with Zac Efron.” 

Once on set together, however, Mariano and Efron became fast friends, and have since continued to feature their relationship heavily on social media, and in real life, with Mariano showing up multiple times to support Efron during his recent “Dancing with the Stars” run.

“Everything’s a Competition” will see the pair reunited, making the most of their competitive natures by facing off in each episode against a range of tasks including everything from lawn bowling to a bromance date night sip and paint challenge.

One of the stars of “The Celebrity Traitors,” the recent hit UK celebrity edition of the reality television format, has revealed that she has had a second leg amputated below the knee. Actor Ruth Codd, who was one of the first to be murdered on the “The Traitors” spin-off after suspecting British chat show host Jonathan Ross was a traitor, provided her followers an update about her health following the life-changing surgery.

Speaking on her personal TikTok channel, Codd gave fans an update on her condition after the surgery and explained why she had to have her second leg amputated. Referencing the fact that she originally found fame through her social media content, the actor continued to have a sense of humor about the situation during the video.

“Good news, we’ve had a full-circle moment. I’m back making TikTok content in my parents’ house. Bad news, I can’t do it next to that lovely blue floral wallpaper anymore due to the fact that room is upstairs and  I’ve just had my second below-knee amputation, so those facilities aren’t available to me.”

She continued, “There’s a lot to unpack for everyone involved.”

The Actor Previously Revealed Plans For the Surgery

While appearing for  an interview on YouTube channel FFTV, Codd spoke about her future plans in terms of improving the quality of her life by having her remaining leg amputated.

“The way I use my crutches means I’m always up on my tippy-toes,” she told host Grace Neutral. “With the second one, it was just the same situation. My quality of life, it’s never going to get any better from this point.”

The actor also revealed that her health issues have made it hard to work over the last 12 months. Yet, she has still managed to appear in “The Celebrity Traitors* and have roles in films like the love-action adaptation of “How To Train Your Dragon.”

“The amount of health problems I’ve had the last year haven’t stopped me doing anything,” she said.

Codd continued, “But I feel like it has hindered me and made my ability to do my job more difficult. I’ve been through it once before, so I think with two prosthetics, I’ll be pretty unstoppable.”

A sneak peek of the upcoming season of “The Traitors” just dropped!

The surprise video was released at BravoCon on Saturday, Nov. 15, with a whole lot of familiar faces.

The clip began with the iconic castle for the start of the new game. In the darkness, legendary host Alan Cumming lit a match in front of his face.

“You’re not afraid of the dark,” Cumming stated. “Be afraid of what lies within it.”

After he lit a candle, he had another message. “The Highland stars have aligned once more to bring 23 players to my castle,” Cumming added.

Next, each of the players was shown on the screen, much to the delight of fans in the audience.

Who’s in the New Season?

The cast has a wide range of reality TV stars. From stars in the Bravo universe to an iconic contestant on “Survivor,” Season 4 is going to have something for everyone.

“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Porsha Williams told viewers in the clip, “Something dangerous is about to go down.”

Memorable “Survivor” contestant Rob Cesternino was also shown in the trailer. Even though he didn’t end up winning, host Jeff Probst called Cesternino “the smartest player never to win Survivor.”

“I’ve got to flip this cat-and-mouse game on its head,” Cesternino said during the trailer.

“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” icon Lisa Rinna was also shown within the clip. She had the crowd roaring with applause when she was shown on the screen. She was seen in a chetah print hat and coat as she applied lipstick during the brief moment she was on camera.

Donna Kelce, the mom of Travis and Jason Kelce, was also shown. “People think that I’m this sweet, little old lady,” she said. “They’re not gonna know what’s coming.”

Season Starts in January

Cumming later returned in the clip with the classic cloak and lantern with a message: “They will soon be handed their destiny—faithful or traitor. Some will trust, some will betray.”

Others that were shown in the brief clip included the following. Colton Underwood, who was “The Bachelor” for season 23 of the long-running show. “Dancing with the Stars” legend Mark Ballas was also shown in the clip sporting long hair and looking like he was ready to play the game.

That’s not everyone though!

Olympians Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir, Love Island USA stars Rob Rausch and Maura Higgins, and Top Chef host Kristen Kish. Other Bravo stars include Dorinda Medley, Caroline Stanbury, and Candiace Dillard Bassett.

The new season is set to drop on January 8 on Peacock.

Dolores Catania is marking a beautiful new chapter in her life; she’s officially engaged. The “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star and reigning “Traitors” champion is now engaged to her longtime partner, Paulie Connell, after nearly five years of dating.

“I’m ecstatic!” Catania, 54, told People magazine. “You know when you feel that happiness down in your gut? That’s where this excitement stems from for me. I feel so blessed, I almost feel guilty! Like I don’t deserve to be loved this way.”

Connell, 51, couldn’t stop gushing over his fiancée. “I keep telling Dolores she deserves that and so much more,” he said. “She’s an incredible woman. When I was proposing, I was able to tell her everything I see in her — the impact she has on everyone around her. She’s one in a million.”

A Proposal Straight from the Heart

People reported that Connell popped the question on Monday, November 10, at a location close to their hearts, the Apple Store in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey, where he and Catania first met. The businessman said he wanted the proposal to reflect who they truly are as a couple.

“I could have proposed on a yacht in Greece or rented a hall with fireworks,” Connell shared. “But that’s not who we are. I wanted it to feel grounded and organic — and I wanted to surprise her.”

He certainly succeeded. “Oh, I had not a clue at all,” Catania said with a laugh. “He was sweating so much, his T-shirt was soaked, his face was beet red. I thought I was going to have to call an ambulance! Then he started saying these sweet things, and I realized he was proposing.”

The Perfect Ring & a Sweet Surprise

Connell sealed the moment with a dazzling ring from John Anthony Jewelers in Edgewater, New Jersey, an 11-carat centerpiece surrounded by four additional carats of diamonds, including a band lined with princess-cut stones.

“Go big or go home,” Catania quipped. But the surprises didn’t stop there. When she returned home, more than 1,000 roses awaited her. “He really hit it out of the park,” she said, smiling.

The proposal date carried special meaning, too. November 10 marked four years since Catania moved in with Connell. To celebrate, the newly engaged couple returned to Rocco’s Steakhouse in Manhattan, the very place where they shared their first date.

As for wedding plans, the pair say they’re in no rush. “I’d love to get married on the day we got engaged because November has always been sentimental for me,” Connell said. “But we really want to enjoy this moment first.”

Catania agreed, noting that life with Connell already feels complete. “The way we’ve set up our life, we can do things however and whenever we want,” she said. “I don’t do things based on what people think I should do. I’ve never done that. Just ask my friends!”

Connell delightfully added, “I’m just glad Dolores won’t have to answer that question anymore about when I’m going to propose!”

Mercedes Javid is opening up about her split from Tommy Feight with honesty. The “Shahs of Sunset” alum said she has “no regret or doubt” about their decision to part ways after seven years of marriage.

The 51-year-old reality star confirmed the news in October, explaining that she and Feight are now focused on co-parenting their 6-year-old son, Shams. During an appearance on Jeff Lewis Live on November 7, the Bravo star said she feels lighter and more at peace as she steps into this next chapter.

“I feel like this is, you know, I love Tommy,” she said. “I might still be in love with Tommy. He’s always family. I’m always going to make sure he’s OK. I just think that this is something that’s necessary and positive for everybody.” The Traitors alum added, “I don’t have any regret or doubt.”

She’s Moved Out & Is Starting Fresh

Javid also confirmed that both she and Feight have moved out of their shared family home. “It’s very humbling to move from a place where your child was six months old until he’s six-and-a-half years old,” she said.

The real estate agent admitted the move was emotional but ultimately rewarding. “I’m very happy in my new place, as is Shams,” she added.

“He’s just like, very focused on what’s happening in his life, and he loves the new place. The way we filled it up and made it special before he saw it. And by we, I mean me.”

Living Close for Their Son

Javid shared that Feight also settled into a home nearby so they can easily co-parent their son. “He moved into pretty much the same cul-de-sac,” she said. “The difference between his place and my place is less than a minute driving.”

The arrangement, Javid explained, helps Shams stay connected to both parents as they adjust to their new normal.

A Hopeful Outlook on Love & Family

Before speaking on Jeff Lewis’ show, Javid discussed the split in a solo episode of her podcast, “Till The Dirt,” which she previously co-hosted with Feight.

“I’m just really, really hopeful about things being led by love,” she said. “And I strongly believe this can be a really positive thing. This could be the most civilized, loving separation. And I think that we can just morph into something healthy.”

Despite the heartbreak of ending her marriage, Javid remains focused on creating a peaceful and loving environment for Shams. “People shouldn’t have to tell you how to feel or what you want,” she said.

In an exclusive interview with Parade, the former “Survivor” champion – who will return to the Emmy-winning series for its milestone 50th season next year – revealed that she would “definitely” be interested in joining Peacock’s hit murder-mystery reality series “The Traitors.”’

Dee Opens Up About Embracing the ‘Challenge’ Lifestyle

Dee Valladares is no stranger to high-stakes competition. In 2023 she claimed the title of “Sole Survivor” — alongside a handsome million-dollar grand prize – on “Survivor 45” thanks to her physical prowess, social finesse and stragetic savvy. 

More recently, she made the move to MTV for a run of Season 41 of “The Challenge.” As new-comer to the series, Valladares competed alongside other rookies for the “Vets & New Threats” season. While her appearance on the long-running series demonstrated her appetite for competition and her ability to adapt to challenging circumstances, she was ultimately eliminated during the season’s 12th episode, which aired on October 15.

Reflecting on her physical and mental growth from “Survivor” to “The Challenge,” Valladares told Parade: “I think I’m in the best shape I’ve been in my entire life… ‘The Challenge’ was extremely physical. But I think it’s more mentally, I’m a lot stronger coming out of that.”

With her new mindset, similarly strengthened by her already recorded run on “Survivor 50,” Valladares added that she’s ready for “something new.”

Valladares Wants to be the Next ‘Survivor’ Star to Win ‘Traitors’

When asked what reality competition series she’d like to join next, Valladares singled out “The Traitors,” saying, “I would love to do ‘The Traitors’.”

If she does eventually join the series, Valladares would become the latest in a long line of “Survivor” alumni to appear on the Alan Cumming-hosted murder mystery competition, which has previously featured familiar faces like Rob ‘Boston Rob’ Mariano, Parvati Shallow, Sandra Diaz-Twine, Jeremy Collins, Tony Vlachos and, perhaps most notably, Cirie Fields, who emerged victorious from the series’ first-ever season in 2023.

 That being said, her ambitions don’t stop at reality TV fame.

“When I think five or ten years ahead, I don’t want to just do reality TV. I want to get into producing or working behind the scenes,” she revealed. “Reality TV is fun, and right now I’m young and I’m not married, I don’t have kids…But we’ll see. This year coming up is going to be a big one with [‘Survivor 50’]. So who knows what could come from that?”

While reality fans have never seen their favorites hosts even attempt to prove their mettle in this way, Alan Cumming, the Emmy-winning host of Peacock’s “The Traitors,” may become the first after the actor expressed interest in competing on his own series.

Alan Cumming Reveals His Interest in Playing ‘Traitors’ as a Contestant

Alan Cumming, who some fans might recognize from his roles in franchises like “Spy Kids” and “X-Men,” has been hosting the U.S. version of “The Traitors” since its inception in 2023. In the years since, the Scottish actor has been awarded two consecutive Emmy Awards for his outstanding hosting on the murder-mystery series. 

In an exclusive interview with The Scotsman, however, Cumming revealed his desire to take a step back from hosting to “see the other side” of the series as a contestant. 

Over the course of the last three “Traitors” seasons, players have been primarily pulled from the annals of reality television history, with stars from series like “Survivor,” “Real Housewives” and more joining the straight-to-streaming competition. 

That being said, actors, athletes, comedians and politicians have similarly been cast, opening the door for someone like Cumming to compete, even if he is the show’s renowned host. 

Cumming Wants to Play ‘Traitors,’ But Doesn’t Think He Could Win

Cumming himself said that he thinks it would be “fun” to play the cloak-and-dagger game after observing the successful strategies that led to the victories of players like Cirie Fields on Season 1, CT Tamburello and Trishelle Cannatella on Season 2, and Dolores Catania, Dylan Efron, Gabby Windey and Lord Ivar Mountbatten on Season 3. 

Despite his intimate knowledge of the game, which will be extended as he returns to host Season 4 on Peacock next year, he admitted that his position as the serie’s host would probably hurt his chances at taking home the (up to) $250,000 grand prize.

The recent interest in joining the series as a contestant is a complete 180 switch from his previous statements in an April 2025 interview with HELLO!, in which he said, “I would absolutely not sign up for the show as a contestant.” 

While Alan’s future as a contestant on “The Traitors” remains up in the air, the host has thrown out the names of a few celebrities he would like to appear on the show, namely the likes of Martha Stewart and President Donald Trump amongst others.
