Dylan Efron Reveals How 20-Pound Weight Gain Has Made Him Feel

As the younger brother of Zac Efron, there was always interest in Dylan Efron’s life. However, his venture into reality TV has earned him a following. He is loved and respected for the warm person he is. Dylan won “The Traitors” Season 3 and reached the finale of “Dancing with the Stars” Season 34. 

The reality TV star has shared his joy at getting to compete on the ABC dance competition and how much he enjoyed the experience, but it changed his life in other ways. He first lost a lot of weight, then put on more weight, and is feeling stronger! 


Dylan Efron Embraces Changes to His Body

Efron competed alongside professional dancer Daniella Karagach in the finale. The pair ultimately placed fourth. Their time on the show was incredible, and it is hard to believe that in a few short weeks, Efron went from having no previous dance experience to being really good. It was not just his skills in the ballroom that got him so far in the competition; his personality also played a role, and he is incredibly well-liked. 

On his Instagram Story on December 2, Efron reflected on the experience and the change to his body. “Probably TMI but I’m fascinated with this stuff. I weighed around 175-178 lbs. (80kg-ish) at the start of DWTS,” he shared, People reports. “By week 3, I went down to 170, they had to take in my waist on my pants … a lot of cardio and wasn’t eating enough.”

He continued, “By the end of the show, my pant size was back to normal and I felt stronger. I gained about 15-20 Ibs. during the season, biggest thing I changed was eating more protein … protein shake every night and just more meat. But I feel so much stronger than before.”


Dylan Efron’s DWTS Journey

Efron has shared his journey with fans on social media, giving them a glimpse into his thoughts and feelings about the show. He also posted sneak peeks of himself and Karagach in rehearsals. Now it’s all over, but thankfully, Efron’s content has not stopped. 

He shared several photos on Instagram on Wednesday, December 3, informing fans that he was back home and enjoying time with his beloved dog, Booey. “Slowlyy getting back in the swing of things. beach, booey and @vuoriclothing,” he wrote in the caption.
