A Look Back at Omar & Avery’s Love Story
Avery and Omar first met in 2018 through a Muslim dating site. At the time, Avery was 19 and had recently converted to Islam, while Omar was 24. They were the first Muslim couple on “90 Day Fiance.”
“When Omar sent me a request, I saw his profile was so nice, and he was so handsome. I knew he was Syrian, but it wasn’t until after about a week of nonstop talking that I realized he still lived in Syria,” Avery told Newsweek in 2019. “Oddly enough, it didn’t change my feelings at all for him.”
Omar and Avery ended up tying the knot in Lebanon. However, they were forced to spend their first year of marriage apart while Omar awaited his U.S. Visa.
In 2020, the “90 Day Fiance” couple decided to move to Dubai so they could be together. And finally, after two years of waiting, Omar was approved for his visa and they moved to America together.
Avery and Omar have kept a relatively low profile since their time on the show. Still, they continue to update their followers on major milestones in their lives, including the moment Omar officially became a licensed dentist in the United States.
