On the Nov. 30 episode of TLC’s “Sister Wives,” Kody Brown reveals that the sale of Coyote Pass sparked a major revelation. Feeling the weight of the past, he sets out on a personal mission to apologize to each of his three ex-wives — Meri Brown, Christine Brown Woolley, and Janelle Brown.
Kody is ready to extend an olive branch to each of his ex-wives, but will they be willing to accept his apology?
Kody Brown Kicks off His Apology Tour With Janelle Brown
GettyOn the latest episode of “Sister Wives,” Kody Brown is on a mission to apologize to each of his ex-wives. Hoping that these apologies will bring him a sense of “healing,” he meets with Janelle Brown first.
While on his way to meet Janelle in North Carolina, Kody admits why he decided to meet with her first. “The reason I’m going to Janelle first is simply because there’s so much less toxicity, there’s so much less for me to forgive, it’s easier for me to ask forgiveness,” he shares.
While the episode ends before viewers could see Kody and Janelle actually meet, Janelle revealed that she was skeptical about his intentions. However, after speaking with their daughter, Madison Brown Brush, who no longer has a relationship with her dad, Madison surprisingly suggested that he might be “offering an olive branch.”
Madison even admitted that if her father began to show consistent “patterns” of wanting to be involved in her life and that of his grandchildren, there could be a chance of forgiveness.
“I am open to reconciliation and forgiveness and closure. But if he ever wanted to be let back into our lives, there would need to be a pattern of consistency,” she shares with her mother.
Kody Reveals the Biggest Thing He Needed to Apologize For
Before meeting with Janelle, Kody sat down with his remaining wife, Robyn Brown, to explain why he felt it was finally time to apologize and attempt to make amends with all three of his ex-wives. Following the closing of Coyote Pass, Kody said that although the sale brought a sense of closure, it also left him wrestling with a deep feeling of “shame.”
“I need to go apologize,” he tells Robyn, who appears in disbelief. “Just with what I need to own about the breakups, about how things happened with the family … I want to set them free,” he added.
In a confessional, Robyn shared how she felt when Kody revealed his plans to apologize to the women.
“When he first told me that he wanted to meet with the exes and apologize, I was like, sort of, shocked. I’m trying really hard not to give him too much reaction because I was processing it,” she said.
During their dinner, Kody tells Robyn that he specifically wants to apologize for saying he “never loved them,” a confession that shocked her as well, but a statement she was happy to hear from him.
Will Kody’s apologies to each of his ex-wives finally bring some healing to the Brown family?

He must be prepared that emotionally they are in an entirely space. And unable to genuinely receive his apology as he would hope. This doesn’t make his effort any Less value.
For he is doing this apology to own his behavior and set himself free. Their place in time in their recovery should be irrelevant. The toxic behavior has and destruction has all been on different time lines. Healing will be just as individual. If he is sincere, I wish him Godspeed.
