“19 Kids and Counting” patriarch Jim Bob Duggar famously interrogated young men hoping to date any of his daughters using a 60-page questionnaire. For years, fans have wondered what exactly the infamous booklet included.
Jinger Duggar and her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, finally revealed what the questionnaire involved.
Jim Bob Duggar’s Questionnaire Revelead
During the Wednesday, December 3, episode of the “Jinger & Jeremy” podcast, Jinger and Jeremy opened up about the start of their relationship and how the budding soccer star had to impress his future father-in-law before being allowed a date with Jinger.
“10 years ago, I met a really cute girl, and I wanted to take her on a date, and then I met her dad,” Jeremy explained. “And when I asked her dad if I could take her on a date, he sent me a 60 page questionnaire with 235 questions that I had to answer before I took her on the date.”
Some of the questions Jeremy answered included, “What idols do you struggle with in your life? What is your church going history? What is your parents’ church going history? Was there ever any sexual immorality in your family? Please explain. Have you ever kissed a girl? How do you feel about having done this before marriage?”
While reflecting on the time, Jeremy recalled, “Some of them were on topics I hadn’t yet considered.”
“He asked me everything from how I became a believer in my position on theological issues to my opinions on parenting and how I handle finances,” Jeremy said of Jim Bob. Because they were the kinds of questions that would save married couples a lot of pain and heartache if they asked them before they walked down the aisle.”

Fans were quick to track down the original source of Jim Bob’s infamous line of questioning, which was written by Ron and Rebekah Coriell and titled “The Courtship Questionnaire.”
“This is really helpful as you and I talked about being given this. It forced us to go into stuff, especially at long distance, especially from the setting you were coming from,” Jeremy told Jinger. “But [also], maybe a potential negative.”
He added, “I’m thinking this is almost could be the danger of formulating this nonformulation of relationship. You can’t formulate relationships…You could answer these a million ways, or you could be being dishonest.”
Jeremy and Jinger courted before marrying in November 2016. They relocated to Los Angeles, where they are raising their three children: Felicity, 7, Evangeline, 5, and Finnegan, 8 months.
