Taylor Swift Reveals Huge Career News on GMA

Taylor Swift is taking fans behind the scenes of her record-breaking career with two major new projects.

During “Good Morning America,” on Monday, Oct. 13, it was announced that a six-part docuseries titled “Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The End of an Era” and a concert film called “Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show” will soon be out.

Both are set to debut on Disney+ on December 12, 2025.

The docuseries promises an intimate look at the massive undertaking of the Eras Tour — from the creative process and backstage moments to relationships with her team, friends, and family.

“The Final Show” will feature the full performance from her Vancouver concert on December 8, 2024, including her Tortured Poets Department set, which was not included in her earlier concert film release.

Swift shared the news with a trailer on social media.

She wrote, “We wanted to remember every moment leading up to the culmination of the most important and intense chapter of our lives, so we allowed filmmakers to capture this tour and all the stories woven throughout it as it wound down. And to film the final show in its entirety.”

New Album: The Life of a Showgirl

The timing of the announcement coincides with her newest musical chapter.

Swift released her twelfth studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” on October 3, 2025.

In interviews, she’s described the project as “infectiously joyful, wild, and dramatic,” capturing both the exhilaration and emotional depth she experienced while touring.

She recorded much of the album while on the road during the Eras Tour, fusing her life as a performer with her art.

This new release marks a fresh chapter in her discography.

As with previous projects, Swift has tied it to multimedia experiences — notably The Official Release Party of a Showgirl, a theatrical event that blended behind-the-scenes footage, lyric videos, and commentary tied to the album.

Engagement & The Eras Tour: A Story Unfolds

Swift’s relationship with NFL star Travis Kelce also threads through the narrative of her Eras Tour era.

Their engagement, announced in August 2025, became part of the public story of her life during this intense tour period.

The upcoming docuseries is expected to include glimpses of Kelce’s appearances backstage, in rehearsal, and during surprise onstage moments — especially their viral London performance.

The Eras Tour itself spanned 21 months and covered 149 shows across five continents, earning over $2 billion in ticket sales and becoming the highest-grossing tour of all time.

Swift has openly discussed the physical and emotional toll, expressing how exhausted she felt and how ready she is to close that chapter.

With these new visual projects, fans will get a chance to see not just the spectacle but the intimate moments behind it — the creative struggles, relationships, and life changes that shaped the era in real time.
