Jennifer Grey is beloved for her role in “Dirty Dancing,” but she also showed the world her movies when she competed on “Dancing with the Stars” Season 11. Not only did Grey compete alongside professional dancer Derek Hough, but the pair were also the winners of the season and took home their Mirrorball Trophies.
Grey is a more private person than some of the other competitors on the show, and she is not very active on social media. So, when she made a rare post of her daughter this week, fans noticed.

Grey is a mother to Stella Gregg, whom she shares with Clark Gregg. Stella was born on December 3, 2001, and she celebrated her 24th birthday this year. In honor of Stella’s big day, her proud mom posted a bunch of photos on Instagram, sharing a glimpse into their lives.
The first photo shows Stella smiling into the camera while wearing a cute red-and-white polka-dot sundress. She looks gorgeous. The second picture is a throwback, showing Stella when she was small, laughing while sitting on Grey’s lap. The third photo is another recent snap of Stella, while the fourth is a throwback of her wearing a mini chef’s outfit. The last photo may be the best of all, because it shows Stella and her proud mama posing together.
It is a beautiful collection of memories, and Grey shared her thoughts in the caption. “24 years ago today my favorite person burst onto the scene. I love you more with every passing day, you continue to amaze me! Happy birthday @stellagregg,” Grey wrote.

Grey’s fans have reacted to the post with loving messages. Stella also responded to her mom’s birthday tribute, writing, “Mamaaaaaaa,” followed by several pink heart emojis.

Grey has posted on Instagram before to share her views on motherhood. Three years ago, she posted an interview of herself from “LIVE with Kelly and Ryan.” In the caption, she shared beautiful and emotional words about her own childhood.
“Growing up, i was acutely aware of how awe-inspiring and magical my mother was. and now, as a mother myself, i am even more grateful for the woman i was fortunate to call my mom,” she wrote. “Happy mother’s day to all those out there, you’re all superheroes. i want to send special tender love and care to those whose mothers are no longer here to celebrate with, as these “holidays” can be challenging and melancholy.”
