Pete Davidson to Appear on Long-Running Hit Reality Series

Pete Davidson is trading the stage for the boardroom. The 31-year-old comedian is set to appear on the Season 17 premiere of “Shark Tank,” where he will pitch the eco-friendly sock brand DoubleSoul alongside its founder, Ben Rosenbaum.

Pete Davidson Makes Surprising ‘Shark Tank’ Appearance

In a first look shared by People, Davidson introduces himself to the panel of investors with a straightforward pitch. “Hi, I’m Pete, and we are seeking 500 grand for four percent for our company, DoubleSoul,” he says.

The appearance surprised judges Robert Herjavec, Lori Greiner and Kevin O’Leary, as well as guest sharks Kendra Scott and Rashaun Williams. But Davidson made it clear that his role as creative director was more than a publicity stunt.

“I got sent DoubleSoul [socks] a couple years ago, and I had to meet the team, and I wanted to be involved immediately,” Davidson explained. “I get sent a lot of crap, and I usually give it to my cousins.”

The former “Saturday Night Live” star added that DoubleSoul stood out because of its quality. The company describes its socks as “ultra cushioned, super breathable, and made from a recycled blend that’s softer than butter.”

“You know, you usually get socks in Foot Locker,” Davidson told the sharks. “There’s that big bin. You get a 20 pack. They’re kind of lifeless.”

Whether the sharks agreed with his pitch will be revealed when the new season premieres on Sept. 24.

From Socks to Fatherhood: Pete Davidson Shares What’s Next

Davidson’s “Shark Tank” debut comes during a big year in his personal life. The actor, who starred in the Peacock comedy “Bupkis,” announced in July that he and his girlfriend, model Elsie Hewitt, are expecting their first child.

“I’m very lucky and very, very happy,” Davidson told E! News. He added that he’s looking forward to “being able to take care of something and show it the childhood I didn’t have.”

The comedian has been candid about his challenges growing up, often weaving personal experiences into his comedy. Now, as he prepares for fatherhood, he says he’s ready to focus on building a family and supporting the next chapter of his career with an unexpected role.

As creative director for DoubleSoul, he is bringing his comedic charm — and serious business ambitions — to the “Shark Tank” stage. With a $500,000 ask and a bold vision for the future of socks, Davidson is hoping to convince the sharks that DoubleSoul is more than just another brand.

The Season 17 premiere of “Shark Tank,” featuring Davidson and DoubleSoul, airs Sept. 24 on ABC.
