Prince William is celebrating Robert Irwin’s “Dancing with the Stars” win and honoring the 21-year-old’s late father, Steve Irwin, in a message filled with warmth and admiration. The Prince of Wales, 43, shared a video on November 29 ahead of the 2025 Steve Irwin Gala in Brisbane, calling Steve a “wildlife warrior” and praising the legacy that continues to shape global conservation today.

“Steve’s mission in life was to safeguard life on our planet, and tonight’s event is all about carrying forward that dedication to conservation and the natural world,” William said.
He underscored how urgent that mission has become, noting, “We are approaching a defining moment, as temperatures rise, animals and plants face extinction, water resources diminish, and waste accumulates.”

Robert won season 34 of “Dancing with the Stars” on November 25 with his partner Witney Carson. William and Kate Middleton later joined the celebrations online, commenting on Robert’s post, “Congratulations, Robert and Witney! ✨🪩”
The victory closed out an emotional season that included a surprise appearance from the prince earlier in the competition.
On the November 11 episode, William appeared in a prerecorded video from Brazil to cheer Robert on while the conservationist was filming abroad.
“We’re missing you, Robert,” he said. “Whilst your twinkle toes are going off elsewhere, I need you down here.” Turning to Carson, he added with a smile, “You need to get him in as much glitter as you can.”
