TLC star Baylen Dupree’s sister Sammi has a tendency to make occasional appearances on the popular reality TV show.
Part of the reason is simple as she lives with her boyfriend in Kansas, and Baylen and her family reside in Virginia.
Prior to the start of the first season of “Baylen Out Loud,” Baylen told People she was somewhat jealous that her younger sister moved out of the house already.
“There was definitely some jealousy, but I was so happy for her,” Baylen said.
She added, “The only thing that I can do is just be so happy for her for everything that she’s accomplished because she is truly breaking every single barrier that she’s set up in her head ever since she was younger.”
Since then, Baylen now lives with her fiancé Colin Dooley in a gorgeous high-rise apartment with their adorable doggies.
Sammi Suffers From Extreme Anxiety
While distance keeps her separated at times, Sammi also struggles with extreme anxiety.
Throughout the course of the second season, the family has bravely opened up about her anxiety and how it has only continued to get worse the older she gets.
Sammi Made a Surprise Visit to See Baylen
The younger sister made a surprise visit to see Baylen try on wedding dresses.
While she was in Virginia only a few weeks prior for Baylen’s gorgeous engagement party that was hosted in the family’s backyard, she made the trek once more to surprise Baylen.
Due to her severe anxiety, Baylen was planning to just see her via FaceTime.
Before the reveal that Sammi would be attending, Baylen’s parents Julie and Allen discussed with each other if there was a possibility to get her to go to the dress shop.
They decided that Allen would fly to Sammi and bring her back, as she has less stress and anxiety if the plans are made for her and she doesn’t have to overthink.
As soon as Baylen saw her sister walk in the wedding dress shop, she exclaimed, “Come here.” She gave her a big hug.
In a cut away interview, Baylen is seen with her mouth open as she was still in shock that Sammi was there.
“So how did you get here?” Baylen asked her sister, to which she responded, “Dad brought me here.”
Julie was very proud that they were able to pull off the big reveal and was incredibly proud of Sammi for coming.
“We couldn’t ask for two better daughters and that one of them is willing to put all of her struggles aside because she knows that her older sister would love her here,” Julie said.
The whole family is incredibly close. In addition to Sammi, Baylen has four brothers (Burke, Sven, Vick and Bechnir).
“There’s a lot going on. There’s a lot of chaos, but I love it. I love having a big family,” Baylen told People. “I have a great support system. I have a great family. Very blessed.”
