‘The Challenge’ Cast Member is Officially Engaged!

“The Challenge” cast member Tula “Big T” Fazakerley is officially engaged, according to her latest Instagram post.

According to Big T’s Instagram caption, she’s now engaged to Morten Tyldum, a Norwegian film director known for his work on “Passengers” and “The Imitation Game,” per IMDB. The two got betrothed the day after their one-year dating anniversary.

Big T wrote, “I can’t put into words how happy I am and how happy he makes me,” adding, “Next year’s going to be so exciting, whilst he’s making a movie, I’ll be planning a wedding.” Big T also mentioned she’ll be taking her soon-to-be husband’s last name, making her future legal name Tula Tyldum.

Tyldum posted the same photo on his Instagram account, albeit with a different caption. From Tyldum’s perspective, “the last year [has] been the best [he’s] had,” so he decided to propose, writing, “I plan to spend the rest of them with this gorgeous woman.”

Big T’s MTV Career

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA – AUGUST 09: General atmosphere during MTV’s “The Challenge 40: Battle Of The Eras” LA event at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on August 09, 2024 in Los Angeles, California.

Big T didn’t start her reality TV career on MTV; originally, the bombshell appeared on a British reality competition show called “Shipwrecked: Battle of the Islands.” The series required cast members to convince new islanders to choose their island over the other, as the members of the island with more people at the end of the series win a cash prize. Unfortunately, Big T was on the losing team.

Luckily, Big T got another chance to win money on reality TV when “The Challenge” asked her to compete on “War of the Worlds 2.” Due to her small stature and lack of physical prowess, Big T didn’t make it very far on her first season of the MTV show; she was eliminated in week two. However, Big T came back for various other “Challenge” seasons, proving herself to be a worthy competitor.

In “Total Madness,” Big T was not sent home for losing an elimination challenge, instead being medically disqualified after injuring herself during a daily competition. In “Double Agents,” Big T made it through most of the season, almost making it to the final. She even beat “Challenge” beast Aneesa Ferreira in an elimination. Unfortunately, she was sent home after losing a hall brawl to Amber Borzotra.

Big T continued to make it far on “Challenge” seasons, lasting 16 weeks on “Spies, Lies & Allies” and eight weeks on “Battle for a New Champion.” On the latter, she added to her elimination record by beating both Jessica Brody and Kaz Crossley before ultimately losing to Kaycee Clark, who would go on to win the season.

Big T also competed on “The Challenge: All Stars: Rivals” and was featured on “The Challenge’s” official YouTube channel.

Support for Big T’s Engagement

After sharing her engagement on Instagram, various “Challenge” cast members flocked to the comments to show their support. Kam Williams, who’s married to fellow-“Challenge” competitor Leroy Garrett wrote, “Omgggg I’m so happy for you barb 🥹💗 congrats!!!”

Melissa Reeves, who was known for her tight relationship with Big T on and off “The Challenge,” also shared her delight at the news, writing, “I am so happy for you both ❤️❤️❤️❤️ love you xxx.”

Bayleigh Dayton, who competed with Big T on “Total Madness,” wrote, “SO HAPPY FOR YOU MY BABY! I cannot wait for this wedding!” Johnny Bananas’s ex Moriah Jadea simply wrote, “AWWW” followed by a heart emoji.

It’s clear Big T and her relationship have a lot of support from her reality TV family.
