MTV star Ginger Minj is embracing a new era. The reality star stunned fans after revealing a dramatic 160-pound weight loss. The performer, who rose to fame on “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” debuted a noticeably slimmer frame in a new full-length Instagram selfie that immediately stunned fans.
Ginger, who identifies as non-binary and uses she/her pronouns in and out of drag, posed in a black jumper and oversized denim jeans. The photo showed just how significantly her figure has changed over the past year.
Fans Praise Minj For The Transformation
One follower wrote, “It’s such a shock seeing how tiny you are now.” Another added, “You look absolutely amazing. And I’m sure you are feeling so much more healthier.” A third fan chimed in, “Look at you so thin and beautiful!”
Another comment read: “You look so gorgeous and @gingerminj. Xoxo”
GettyAnother sweet message read: “Omg you have TRANSFORMED! How are you feeling? I’ve got some complicated health issues and have recently started a glp1 medication, and only a few weeks in I feel so much better on myself. I think the common misconception that it’s a shortcut is far too prevalent – you still have to put in the work with your diet and movement, and changing how you approach nourishment, the meds just cut the food noise off and make it more achievable to change your body. Sending so much love, as a person who’s been fat my entire adult life because of an eating disorder, I see you and I recognise the incredible work and dedication it’s taken to get to where you are 💪”
Her Weight Loss Sparked Buzz During ‘Drag Race: All Stars’
GettyGinger’s transformation first caught attention when she returned for the latest All Stars season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race.” Viewers noticed her frame becoming noticeably slimmer during the early weeks of the competition.
The actress and drag performer later revealed to People magazine that her weight loss was medication-assisted, but not through Ozempic or Mounjaro. Instead, she was prescribed Zepbound.
Getty“I got the shot and it sat in my fridge for a month before I worked up the nerve to do it,” Ginger told the outlet. “But it immediately just made me feel better, not even from losing weight. I just had more energy!”
Ginger Says Her Health Improved Dramatically
Ginger explained that the medication quickly delivered health changes far beyond appearance. “I had severe sleep apnea,” she said. “I was on blood pressure meds. I was pre-diabetic. Within a couple of months, the sleep apnea was gone, and I was off all my medications. I’m no longer pre-diabetic. I finally felt like me, but in a whole new way.”
Her comments resonated with fans who had watched her openly discuss health struggles during earlier seasons of “Drag Race.”
Lifestyle Changes Played a Major Role in Her Transformation
Ginger emphasized that the medication was only part of her transformation. She also committed to major lifestyle changes to improve her health.
“You can’t just take the shot and expect things to happen,” she said. “I paired it with a 1200-calorie-a-day diet. I cut out sugar. I limited carbs. I found exercises I could do no matter where I was traveling. It was a full lifestyle change.”
Her latest selfie gave fans the clearest look yet at the results of that effort, and many flooded the comments with praise for her dedication.
