“Teen Mom” alum Kailyn Lowry shared “really, really sad news” about a beloved family member with her fans.

The mother of seven, 33, took to Instagram on Wednesday, December 10, and revealed that her dog, Buddha, was diagnosed with cancer.

In the video, Lowry sat down in front of the camera as she was getting ready for the day. The former reality star appeared to be holding back tears as she announced the sad news.

“I come bearing some really, really sad news to share with you,” Lowry began. “My dog Buddha has cancer.”

The MTV personality revealed that she got Buddha while pregnant with her fourth child, Creed. Despite Buddha being an older dog, Lowry still treats him like a puppy.

“I know sometimes bigger dogs will get, like, fatty lumps,” she continued. “[He] personally has never experienced the fatty lumps. So I take him to the vet […] and she [the vet] didn’t think anything was wrong.”

However, at Buddha’s follow-up check-up, Lowry pointed out that one of the fatty lumps attached to his wrist was very tight and close to the bone.

She was later referred to a vet in Pennsylvania, where Buddha was officially diagnosed with cancer.

What is Kailyn Lowry’s Next Move?

Lowry revealed that surgery isn’t the best option, noting that it’d be incredibly difficult for Buddha to recover from it.

“Because it’s so close [to the bone] it would actually probably be a harder time healing after the surgery than it would be if we just sort of left it alone,” the “Teen Mom” star continued.

Lowry gushed about how Buddha is “such a good dog” and that “everyone loves [him].”

Right now, Lowry focuses on making sure that Buddha is “super comfortable” before his time comes. She also asked fans for comfort tips in adult dog life care.

Fans flooded the comments with love and well-wishes for Lowry and Buddha.

One fan wrote, “Sending you so much love and sending that handsome boy love and smooches.”

Another commented, “My friend’s Pit Bull got diagnosed with Cancer, and they opted not to do the surgery, and he lived another 5+ years. Enjoy him and just know that he could be around for a lot longer than you think, Mama.”

MTV’s “The Challenge: Vets & New Threats” reunion part one aired on Wednesday, December 10, and here’s the highlights from the dramatic evening.

In a stunning upset, Olivia Kaiser and Yeremi Hykel won “The Challenge” season 41. Olivia was, unknowingly, several weeks pregnant while running this final, and she and Yeremi struggled during certain checkpoints. Yet, they managed to overtake Sydney Segal and Turbo Çamkıran and win the $425,000 grand prize.

Although Sydney and Turbo were the favorites to win, Olivia and Yeremi were definitely deserving. They are both physical threats who trained hard in preparation for the difficult season. Sydney and Turbo came in second place, Cedric Hodges and Michaela Bradshaw came in third, and Theo Campbell and Adrienne Naylor came in fourth after failing to finish the hike.

‘The Challenge: Vets & New Threats’ Reunion

The reunion started with the acknowledgement of Olivia’s pregnancy. Host Devyn Simone even gave the couple a “Challenge” onesie. After MTV filmed the reunion, Olivia and Theo had a healthy baby boy.

“The Challenge” season 41 reunion featured the struggled between Olivia and Johnny Bananas. The two were at odds during the season, actively going after each other during “Vets & New Threats.” Olivia admitted she was going after Bananas because he called her a “snake” the previous season, but she and Bananas were able to laugh about their rivalry.

Bananas acknowledged that he was hurt that the other vets (except for Leroy Garrett) voted him in, although Nany Gonzales claimed Bananas would have done the same to her, despite their close relationship.

Devyn took a poll during the reunion to find out who agreed with a comment Bananas made during the season, that he “is the … ‘Challenge.'” Although most cast members disagreed with Bananas, people like Aneesa Ferreira, CT Tamburello, and Leroy raised their hands, among others. CT even gave Bananas a cactus trophy.

Gabe Wai’s Apology

Rookie Gabe Wai apologized for his rude comments towards the women of “The Challenge.” Through tears, he said he was sorry for his actions and words in the house and hoped everyone could forgive him and recognize his growth. He also said he started therapy. Gabe’s partner, Joanna Mannion, said she already saw a change within him and acknowledged he was not a bad person, he simply treated her badly.

Later, Bananas asked Gabe how much of Gabe’s decision to stake a claim on Nany was Gabe’s decision rather than influence from Theo. Gabe said only 25% was his decision. Olivia defended her Theo’s move, saying everyone plays the game differently, but Michaela said moves like that are the reason many of the Challengers don’t like Olivia.

Ashley Mitchell’s Self-Awarness

“Challenge” champion Ashley Mitchell got an entire reunion segment to herself, due to her meltdowns during the season. Ashley acknowledged she was a difficult partner to work with, but it’s only because she’s “competitive,” as she said. Although Ashley continued to make some mean comments during her segment, including calling Theo “dumb,” everything she said was funny and caused many laughs among the cast.

Where the new season will air is still up in the air. While MTV has traditionally been its home, Bananas predicted that “The Challenge” flagship may move to Paramount+ following corporate restructuring. “This is going to be one of the most important seasons… we are going to have to go show up and show out to prove… we are worth keeping around,” he said.

As always, MTV and Paramount have not confirmed casting or the format. But with top veterans openly training and hinting at returns, season 42 already promises to be one of the most talked-about seasons in years.

Reality-TV star Cory Wharton recently honored his youngest daughter with a deeply personal tribute: he had her portrait tattooed on his arm following her second open-heart surgery — a sign of both relief and gratitude for his family.  

Wharton, 34, shared Tuesday, Dec. 2, that he now carries a realistic portrait of his 3-year-old daughter Maya Wharton on his upper arm — joining tattoos of his other daughters, marking what he described as “collecting infinity stones.”  

In an emotional Instagram post, he wrote that he waited to get Maya’s portrait inked until after her surgery was successfully completed. “Didn’t wanna jinx it in any type of way,” he explained. “But now I have all three of my daughters on my arm.”

A Tough Road & a Father’s Relief

Maya’s surgery was her second open-heart procedure.

She was born with a complex congenital heart defect requiring multiple operations.

The first, performed when she was just seven months old, was followed by years of careful medical monitoring.

Earlier this year, Maya underwent the second operation, known as the Fontan Procedure, often used for children with a single functional heart ventricle.

“I want to say thank you for all the prayers because they definitely were heard and answered. Right now we’re still in the recovery phase which has its own challenges, every time you think things are getting better,” he wrote. “A new challenge arises, but we’ll just keep tackling them as they come. Maya’s a fighter and she’s got this ❤️But again perspective is everything!!”

Wharton Often Shares Updates on His Daughter

After her surgery in October, “The Challenge” vet revealed she spent 13 days in the hospital following her surgery, and she was finally able to go home.

“I’m so relieved to be done with that. I just wanna say thank you to everybody who sent me messages or DMS,” he wrote at the time. “Sorry if I didn’t respond to them all, but just know that the support that everyone showed Maya throughout this process made me realize, that your community around you, really does make a difference so thank you to everyone !”

He proudly continued, “BUT WE ARE DONE.”

“We fixed my lil girls heart and to the cardiologist and surgeons Thank You 🙏🏽!!! We finally can turn this page and move forward Love y’all,” he added.

Through it all, Wharton has kept fans updated, sharing praise for Maya’s strength during her recovery and offering thanks for the love and prayers the family received.

Now the tattoo stands as a permanent symbol of survival, love, and a father’s devotion.

Kristin Cavallari hasn’t shied away from revealing just how heavily producers manipulated and manufactured storylines on MTV’s “Laguna Beach” and “The Hills.” During a Dec. 2 episode of her “Let’s Be Honest with Kristin Cavallari” podcast, she revisited a season 5 episode of “The Hills,” breaking down what was real and what wasn’t, including one moment she says she never would have done if producers hadn’t pushed her to stir up more drama.

In the episode, Cavallari reflected on co-star Brody Jenner and Jayde Nicole’s relationship, noting that their relationship was very real during filming on “The Hills.” What wasn’t real, however, was Cavallari’s so-called feud with Jayde, a storyline producers amplified because of her history with Jenner.

She revealed that one of her biggest regrets was a scene where producers encouraged her to give Jenner an adult toy at his 26th birthday party. She said it was something she never would have done on her own, and it ended up upsetting Nicole and sparking conflict between her and Jenner afterwards.

“I never would have done that on my own or intentionally to piss off Jayde. That’s just not who I am as a person,” Cavallari admits. “There is probably a piece of this where I maybe took it too far sometimes with the filming stuff, and I could have had more empathy for Jayde and Brody because they were in a real relationship, kind of like when Stephen [Colletti] and I were in a real relationship.”

“Maybe that is something where I should have been like, ‘Hey, I’m not gonna give Brody sex toys. This is so dumb.’ But in my head, I’m like, cool, I’m a team player, I’m going to do whatever you guys want,” she added.

“I thought the only way for me to enjoy ‘The Hills’ was to be game and be up to do whatever, and maybe there’s a world in which it was too far for some people. If that’s the case, I do feel really bad about it,” Cavallari shared.

Cavallari Opened up About ‘Faked Fights’ & ‘Faked Relationships’ on ‘The Hills’

Back in 2013, during an appearance on Bethenny Frankel’s talk show, “Bethenny,” Cavallari admitted that she “faked relationships” and “faked fights” on both “Laguna Beach” and “The Hills.” She even addressed her tense on-screen dynamic with Nicole, clarifying that their so-called drama was entirely manufactured.

“I dated Brody when I was 18, right after “Laguna Beach,” actually, and that’s it. And then on the show, on “The Hills,” they had us ‘dating’ for a few episodes. They pretended that him and Jayde broke up and I was dating Brody, and Jayde and I got into a huge fight because she saw us in a club. It wasn’t real at all. They were together the entire time,” she admitted (via E! News).

However, she acknowledged that she ultimately leaned into the persona producers created for her on “The Hills,” especially after being pushed to play the “villain” during her “Laguna Beach” days.

“When I decided to join “The Hills,” I knew exactly what I was getting into, I knew exactly the character they wanted me to be, so I said, ‘Listen, I’m game. What do you want me to do?'” Cavallari revealed.

However, Cavallari has since clarified that her on-screen persona was nothing like who she really is. It was all simply part of creating a dramatic show that fans continue to watch, whether moments were real or staged.

Reality-TV star Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola is married!

She and her longtime partner Justin May have reportedly tied the knot — capping off a dramatic chapter of love, heartbreak, resilience and new beginnings.

According to insiders cited by TMZ, the pair wed recently at a lavish ceremony at New Jersey’s Park Chateau Estate & Gardens, surrounded by friends and members of their “Jersey Shore” family.

The outlet also reported cameras were there to capture her big day.

Giancola previously just celebrated her bridal shower in November, according to one of her recent posts.

“Thank you so much to my favorite restaurant @la_mondina_brielle for hosting my beautiful bridal shower this past weekend!” she wrote. “The food as always was beyond delicious and the venue itself is absolutely stunning.”

Giancola’s Journey to Her Wedding

For the 38-year-old, the journey to marriage hasn’t been simple.

Giancola first gained fame as a cast member on the MTV hit “Jersey Shore.”

Prior to May, she dated her “Jersey Shore” costar Ronnie Ortiz-Magro on and off from 2009 to 2014.

In recent years she’s weathered a series of personal ups and downs including a painful miscarriage and a difficult IVF process — all documented on the show’s spinoff, “Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.”

By early 2024, things began looking up: May proposed on March 16, and Giancola happily accepted.

“The easiest question I ever answered,” she posted on Instagram at the time. “[H]appiest & luckiest girl in the world 😭 I’ll love you forever and then some.”

The Two Welcomed a Baby This Year

A few months later, the couple announced they were expecting their first child together — a baby due August 2025.

“We’ve been keeping a little secret. ✨ Baby May due August 2025 ✨🤰🏻,” the caption of their joint Instagram post read. “After struggling through years of infertility, this is the absolute greatest blessing we could ever possibly ask for!”

She continued, “We are so thrilled to finally be able to share the news of our little miracle with you all! Our hearts have never been so full of love, we can’t wait to meet you baby!

Their pregnancy carried extra emotional weight after years of infertility and grief, and when their son Vincent Keith May arrived on August 20, 2025, Giancola called him her “rainbow miracle baby.”

“After this very long journey to get here, words cannot describe how blessed and truly grateful we are,” she added. “Forever living in our baby love bubble until further notice.”

“The Challenge: Vets & New Threats” has come to an end, and this season was full of politicking, intense challenges, and twists thrown by the host, TJ Lavin.

Last week, after the first leg of the final, TJ told the players that they would have one more chance to stake a claim on another partner.

With Michaela Bradshaw running the final with a twisted ankle, Cedric Hodges looked like he was considering a changeup.

So far, along with Michaela and Cedric, the remaining contestants are Olivia Kaiser, Yeremi Hykel, Sydney Segal, Turbo Çamkıran, Theo Campbell, and Adrienne Naylor.

The Overnight Challenge Is Long & Grueling

Despite Michaela being injured, Cedric doesn’t stake a claim on another “Challenge” contestant. Theo initially thought about partnering up with his girlfriend, Olivia, but he rethinks his decision.

The overnight portion of the final begins, and TJ tells the cast that only one of the pairs can go into the tent at a time, while the other balances on a log. If the person on the log falls off, they have to switch places with their partner. 

Because they’re in first place, Sydney and Turbo have to endure this challenge for six hours. Cedric and Michaela have to make it for seven, while Olivia and Yeremi have to sustain eight hours. In last place, Theo and Adrienne are told that they have to last the whole night.

The men go first to let the ladies get their rest. After about an hour and a half, Yeremi and Theo switch out.

It’s cold and miserable, but Adrienne attempts to amuse herself and the cast by regaling them with tales about her fear of spiders and cheating exes.

The Next Leg of The Challenge Final Begins with Ropegate

After everyone survives the night, Cedric realizes that his rope is missing. TJ explicitly told them to hold onto their ropes so that the teams could tether themselves together, which worries Cedric.

In the morning, TJ tells the group that they need to run up the mountain, which contains several checkpoints. The first team to make it to the top wins.

A problem occurs when Cedric tells TJ that he doesn’t have his rope. He and Michaela are penalized with a five-minute delay.

The first checkpoint has the players answering trivia questions about their teammate. Every correct answer gives them a number to unlock a coded padlock.

The task proves difficult because why would they know their partner’s zodiac signs and middle names?

Sydney and Turbo complete the checkpoint first, with Olivia and Yeremi second. The other two teams struggle behind, but Adrienne has a hard time going up the mountain.

The next checkpoint is a giant game of Connect Four, and Sydney and Turbo win against Olivia and Yeremi.

Theo and Adrienne beat Olivia and Yeremi next, with the latter losing against Michaela and Cedric, putting them in last place.

The Winners of ‘The Challenge: Vets & New Threats’ Are…

Turbo and Sydney have taken the lead the whole final, and they’re trekking up the treacherous terrain while being tethered together with a rope.

Olivia and Yeremi overtake the rest, leaving Theo and Adrienne in last place. At this point, they’re so far behind that a producer tells them that it’s pointless, so they give up. Michaela is struggling physically, but she’s medically cleared to keep going. 

Although Sydney and Turbo take the lead, Olivia and Yeremi catch up and overtake them. “Come on, Yeremi. Almost there,” Olivia gasps.

Ultimately, Olivia and Yeremi reach the top and use their keys to open the box, making them the next “Challenge” champions.

MTV comedy stars Desi Lydic and Nikki DeLoach reunited on the December 2nd “Daily Show” episode when DeLoach appeared as the late-night show’s guest to promote her new Hallmark movie, “A Grand Ol Opry Christmas.”

Before she was a “Daily Show” host, Lydic was a successful actor, starring alongside DeLoach on MTV’s scripted comedy, “Awkward.” The five-season TV show focused on an unpopular high school sophomore who gains immediate, unwanted, attention at her high school when the student body mistakes an accident for something much darker.

Lydic played the high school guidance counselor, a character who was, at times, as immature as her students. DeLoach played the main character’s young mom who becomes best friends with Lydic.

During her “Daily Show” appearance, DeLoach made sure to reminisce with Lydic about their time on MTV. Lydic even introduced the Hallmark star as “my real-life friend Nikki DeLoach.”

For those who hadn’t seen “Awkward,” Lydic made sure to clarify, “We were not the awkward ones on the show … we were the cool ones.”

DeLoach concurred, adding that although they were not the main characters of the comedy series, they felt like they were. “In our world, the show was about us,” DeLoach said.

At the end of the interview, DeLoach and Lydic showed off their matching bracelets. DeLoach called them “Benny Bracelets,” named after her son. The thin chains with a delicate heart honor her son’s congenital heart issues, which have been fixed with surgery. Every purchase benefits the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

Nikki DeLoach’s Latest Hallmark Movie

In DeLoach’s latest Hallmark movie, she plays the “daughter of [a] late country music icon [who] abandoned her dream of a songwriting career and distanced herself from her father’s legacy following his tragic accident 30 years prior,” according to Hallmark. She returns to the Grand Ol Opry to represent her father at the annual Christmas event, where she’s able to spend time with her lifelong friend, played by Kristoffer Polaha.

DeLoach described the film as “a love letter to the Grand Ol Opry … [and] a love letter to anyone who has lost someone.” She added, “It meant so much to be a part of this.” DeLoach lost her father two years ago.

Lydic described the movie as one that “ticks all the boxes in what you want in a Hallmark movie.” The clip showed on “The Daily Show” seemed both emotional and delightful, corroborating Lydic’s illustration of the film.

“A Grand Ol Opry Christmas” premieres Friday, December 5 at 10 p.m. ET.

With only a few days until “The Challenge” crowns its latest winner, it’s time to make our final predictions on who will take home the grand prize and who will walk away with nothing. This season, the MTV show made series history with a final that only included cast members who originally appeared on other networks. That is to say, none of the final challengers got their starts on MTV.

‘The Challenge’ Final Part 1

Last week, our final four teams embarked on a difficult final challenge that involved hiking the Andes Mountains, completing checkpoints in between long runs. Sydney Segal and Turbo Çamkıran remained in the lead for basically the entire challenge, while Theo Campbell and Adrienne Naylor spent most of their time in last place. Michaela Bradshaw and Cedric Hodges oscillated between second and third place with Olivia Kaiser and Yeremi Hykel.

At the end of the episode, “The Challenge” teased a twist: players will have the chance to stake a claim on someone else’s partner. Theo, in his confessional, debated taking the opportunity. After all, he could finish the final with his girlfriend, Olivia. If they win, they’d split a massive grand prize: $425,000.

Will Anyone Stake a Claim?

It’s possible someone will stake a claim, but the chances are slim. Sure, Theo and Olivia could win a large sum of money (which would go a long way towards supporting their new son), but if they come in fourth place, neither of them will receive any money at all. If Theo and Olivia remain on separate teams, they guarantee at least $12,500.

Sydney and Turbo will likely want to remain partners, considering how well they’ve been working together and their current position in the final. Cedric and Michaela, however, are the wild cards.

Michaela twisted her ankle early on into the final, and although she’s done a good job of pushing through the pain, Cedric may decide he’s safer finding a new partner who won’t slow him down.

Who Will Win ‘The Challenge: Vets & New Threats?’

Supposing no one stakes a claim and our duos remain as is, Sydney and Turbo are the most likely winners of “The Challenge: Vets & New Threats.” They’ve dominated the final part one and have remained strong individual players all season. Supposing no one gets injured and they can both remain simpatico, Turbo will likely earn another “Challenge” championship title.

Olivia and Yeremi are the second most likely to win. Although they only recently became partners, they worked well together in last week’s episode. Yeremi also brings an advantage, having hiked the Andes before. However, Olivia was unknowingly pregnant while filming, which could result in a less-than-peak physical performance. That being said, her pregnancy hasn’t slowed her down yet, and there’s no reason to assume it will later.

Cedric and Michaela have been a strong duo this season, but Michaela’s weak ankle poses a serious concern for the team’s ability to win. Even with her ability to push through the injury, it won’t be surprising if she has to move slightly slower than she would at full capacity.

Finally, Theo and Adrienne. Although they’ve crushed it all season in eliminations, their performance thus far in the final has been the weakest of the teams. Theo may have been a professional runner before competing on “The Challenge,” but his endurance this season leaves something to be desired. That being said, “Challenge” finals consist of many parts, only some of which are physical. Anyone could pull out the win this season.
