“Iron Man” star Robert Downey Jr. is 60 and appears to be living his best life. He has two new Marvel films scheduled for release: “Avengers: Doomsday” in 2026 and “Avengers: Secret Wars” in 2027, and he has a legion of loyal fans. Some of these fans got to meet him on August 27, and the footage of him posing for the cameras was taken by the New York Post.

Something fans may notice is that the actor looks different, now sporting a head of gray hair. He is wearing a gray suit and a matching tie, and he wears a dark blue collared shirt as he makes faces and shows peace signs to the cameraman. The short video was shared by the New York Post on TikTok.

The comment section of the post has come alive with reactions from fans. “Founding Father of the MCU,” a comment reads. “We love you RDJ, you are the best,” another person wrote.

Other reactions include, “ALL HAIL FOR SILVER FOX RDJ,” “he’s so FINE,” and “sooooooooo handsome.”


Fans React To Downey Jr. Aging

Fans will know that this is not the first time Downey Jr. has shown off his gray hair, although he appears to be embracing it now more than ever. In a photo he posted on Instagram on May 13, the actor is flexing his muscles while reading Jeremy Renner’s book. The sides of his hair are cut short and are also graying. He looks incredible!

Fans also got a glimpse into what’s to come with the help of AI technology. Downey Jr. featured in a video commercial for Aura, a company that provides online protection. In the video, posted on Instagram on June 3, Downey Jr. appears at various ages, ranging from childhood to adulthood and old age.

The caption read, “Every age. Every stage. We’ve got online protection and so should you.”

Once again, fans have reacted. “Ok i am crying It breaks my heart to see my fav actor as well as hero get old,” a comment reads. “Wow this is epic,” another fan shared.

“You’ll always be my favorite person no matter how much time passes!” a third person wrote.

Downey Jr. has had to maintain his fitness for his role as Tony Stark in the Marvel films, which requires an incredible amount of hard work and dedication. “I’m not particularly tall or strong or fast or aggressive. But, I’m not faking it,” Downey Jr. told Men’s Journal in 2012. He had been using the Wing Chun method of training for almost a decade at the time of the interview, having started in 2003, the publication notes, which has helped him stay committed to fitness.
