Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom’s whirlwind romance began in 2009, with the two getting married within two months of meeting. They were married for seven years, but separated in 2013 and were officially divorced in 2016.
In an episode of her “Khloé In Wonder Land” podcast, which was released on Wednesday, Nov. 19, Kardashian opened up about a traumatic time in her marriage.
The reality television star admitted that she used to love journaling, but went through a rough time that centered around this.
“I loved it and everything was in these journals,” she said. “And I remembered my ex-husband was going through it.”
Odom was struggling with substance abuse issues at the time.
“He was incredibly paranoid and found these journals that he knew I did all the time and was reading them and just was convinced that I was like, taking notes and sending them to the government or something crazy,” Kardashian added.
As a result, Odom took her journals and threw them into a fire right in front of Kardashian.
“I remember sobbing, tears streaming down my face,” she explained. “I could remember me on my knees, screaming, like it was years of my life in these journals, and they meant so much to me.”
Despite This Hard Time, Khloe Kardashian Encourages Others To Journal
For Kardashian, she was never able to journal again after this moment.
“I do hate that I don’t do it anymore, but I also think there’s a piece of me that doesn’t want to ever risk that that could happen again,” she explained on the Nov. 19 episode. “It’s more — I’m not gonna say traumatic — but I just don’t wanna open that up again.”
But, she still took a moment to reflect on the importance of it, detailing the “special part of journaling.”
“That’s what’s so special about journaling, is seeing your emotional state and how far you came or if you need something to reflect on or maybe inspire,” Kardashian continued. “It’s such a beautiful process to do, and so I do hate that I don’t do it anymore.”
Khloe Kardashian Opened Up About Reuniting With Lamar Odom For First Time Since 2016 Divorce
During an episode of The Kardashians, they documented the 41-year-old seeing Odom for the first time since their 2016 divorce and she opened up about that moment when speaking on her podcast earlier this year.
“That was so emotionally draining for me,” she said in July. “Not seeing someone for 10 years is crazy, but I think also seeing that person and being on camera, there were a lot of different factors.”
“It was sad because he was so strange to me,” Kardashian added. “I didn’t know him, but yet I knew him so well. I didn’t think I would feel that awkward around someone that I’ve known so deeply.”

Kardashians are toxic. I really believe that. Like Girl STFU and write ya BS. All the lies and scandals I don’t believe none them fuccs. They have fun ruining people for some reason. We all have our ups and downs but they seem to stem around something dark. . .
