Andy Richter & Emma Slater Dance Disney-Themed ‘Ratatouille’ Viennese Waltz on ‘DWTS’

During the October 7 “Dancing With the Stars” season 34 Disney-themed night, Richter played the role of Alfredo Linguini and Slater played Remy the rat during their Viennese waltz to “Le Festin” from “Ratatouille.”

The two received a score of 18/30, with Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough, and Bruno Tonioli each giving a score of 6.

Ahead of their performance, Richter took to Instagram to give fans the rundown on how to vote.

“DWTS TONIGHT! You all have been so great and we’d love to stick around and keep dancing for you, but we need your votes!” he wrote.

“We’re doing the Vienesse waltz to ‘Ratatouille’ and it’s pretty great, and I think I’ve got it down pretty well. So I’m thinking my scores will go up, but I need you guys to vote for us, please,” Richter said in the video. “Because it’s your votes that have been keeping us in, because my scores, they’ve been the lowest ones.”

Richter added, “I wouldn’t be making this video if I didn’t want to stick around and I really do want to stick around, especially for next week. Next week is going to be a really special week for me and hopefully for you guys too if we get to do another one for you.”


Fans Respond to Andy Richter’s Disney Night Performance & Scores

Richter and Slater’s fans lit up the comments of the “Dancing With the Stars” Instagram post following their performance.

“Andy and Emma’s Ratatouille-inspired Viennese Waltz is 💋chef’s kiss💋🐀👨‍🍳,” the caption noted.

“HE DID SO GOOD,” one fan wrote.

“HE IS IMPROVING SO MUCH AND HE IS AN ABSOLUTE JOY,” another “DWTS” fan commented.

Others noted, “His best dance! The growth! The baguette! Keep this man!,” “You didn’t just cook, you ate,” and “He is improving every single week!!! We love you Andy!!!”

No one is a bigger Richter fan than his partner. Slater commented on the post, “I LOVE THIS MAN! I just think he’s a national treasure.”

As for the scoring, many fans agreed that Richter and Slater deserved higher, with one fan noting, “He deserved a 7, he’s come so far.” Another wrote, “HE DID SO GOOD, they aren’t scoring him high enough.”

Another fan stated, “If Andy goes home, I’m cancelling my subscription.”
