Great American Family Makes Big Announcement

Well, it looks like Great American Family just gave fans something big to celebrate. “Crossroad Springs” is officially coming back for Season 2. Yep, the Hamiltons are sticking around, and honestly? We’re not mad about it. According to Parade, the new season is expected to premiere sometime in 2026. That gives everyone plenty of time to rewatch, reflect, and maybe grab a few tissues along the way.

But don’t worry, the wait won’t be too long before we see them again. A brand-new music special, “Crossroad Springs Christmas,” is set to drop December 2025 as part of Great American Christmas; and yep, we’re here for it.

A Christmas Special That Hits All the Right Notes

The holiday special will feature music from Jonathan Stoddard and Jillian Cardarelli, the duo behind the show’s original theme song. So yeah, expect some seriously emotional (and possibly tear-inducing) moments. Between the music, the message, and that signature small-town charm, this one’s already shaping up to be a cozy hit for the season.

Let’s be real; Great American Family knows exactly what its audience wants when it comes to heartfelt, faith-forward storytelling. And “Crossroad Springs”  fits right into that lane: wholesome, honest, and all about connection. It’s not flashy or overcomplicated; it’s just good, grounded TV that reminds you why family dramas work so well in the first place.

Why Fans Fell for “Crossroad Springs”

For anyone who hasn’t tuned in yet, according to Great American, the series follows the Hamilton family as siblings. James (Stoddard), a pastor from Chicago, and Janet (Emily Alatalo), an ER doctor in a neighboring town, return home to rebuild their family’s legacy farm. And maybe heal a few emotional wounds along the way. With their dad Willis (Shaun Johnston) and aunt Amy (Kate Drummond) facing health challenges, plus a long-simmering feud with neighbor Daniel Newman (Jesse Hutch) still brewing, life in “Crossroad Springs” isn’t exactly peaceful.

The show blends faith, community, and just the right amount of drama. It’s heartfelt without feeling heavy, emotional without being preachy. And it seems like that balance is exactly why fans fell for it so fast.

Great American Family’s Winning Streak

“Our goal is to create quality, original content that resonates deeply with viewers, and the early response to Crossroad Springs has been outstanding,” said Great American Media President & CEO, Bill Abbott. “The excitement around both the series and its music reflects the appetite for authentic stories of faith and family.”

It’s clear Great American Family knows what works; stories that feel personal, hopeful, and real. And with a Christmas special on the way and Season 2 confirmed, “Crossroad Springs” might just be the network’s next big comfort watch.

Stay tuned for more updates on an exact release date for “Crossroad Springs Christmas,” coming this December on Great American Family.

  1. I mostly stopped watching tv because the violence, evil, and filth were depressing. I feel what I was seeing was not mentally or emotionally healthy. So not pleasing to God. While resting one afternoon I switched on the tv and saw this show. I watched and fell in love with the show. It may sound strange but watching this show and this channel gives me a sense of peace. My age and health no longer allow me to go to church or socialize so about the only people I see or speak with are medical personnel. This channel has become a lifeline for me. Please continue.
