Jennifer Aniston is returning to our living rooms as season 4 of “The Morning Show” debuts September 17 on Apple TV +.
While Aniston describes the show she co-stars in with Reese Witherspoon as “family for sure,” she will always be linked to her OG tv family on the iconic sitcom “Friends.”
With the exception of the tragic loss of Matthew Perry nearly two years ago, the cast of “Friends” continues to go from success to success.
But who has achieved the most success. We’ll be there for you as we break down the numbers.
‘Friends’ Is a Gift That Keeps on Giving
More than 21 years after the series finale aired on NBC, “Friends” is the gift that keeps on giving, both to fans in syndication, and the cast themselves.
“Friends” continues to bring in big bucks from syndication and streaming, which means residuals still flow to Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and the late Matthew Perry’s estate.
But that doesn’t mean the Friends are resting on their laurels. The cast has enjoyed rich and varied careers since the “Friends” set went dark- producing, writing, doing voice work, and earning extra cash with endorsements and investments in real estate.
But while they all famously banded together as a cast to be paid the same amount on the show (topping out at a cool $1 million EACH per episode,) their individual net worths have diverged dramatically since then.
Jennifer Aniston’s Net Worth Is the Friendliest
Jennifer Aniston continues to shine both in front of and behind the camera.
“The Morning Show” Season 4 is set to premiere on September 17, 2025 on Apple TV+.
Jen is also tapped for the upcoming dramedy “I’m Glad My Mom Died,” which is based on Jennette McCurdy’s memoir. Like “The Morning Show,” Aniston will both star and executive-produce.
According to PopCulture.com, the 10-episode series will feature Jen playing the overbearing mom of a child actor.
Jennifer Aniston runs her own production company, Echo Films, which is slated to produce a remake of the classic film “9 to 5.”
All of that, multiple endorsement deals, and even a children’s book about her dog Clyde all adds up to the friendliest bottom line.
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Jen currently has a net worth of $320 million, and consistently adds about $20 million to that total every year in “Friends” residual checks alone, as do all her “Friends” according to Newsweek.
Jen’s Bestie Courteney Cox Comes In a Not-So-Close Second
Monica Gellar may have always had to come in first, but her real-life counterpart Courteney Cox will have to settle for second in the “Friends” cast list.
That doesn’t mean she’s been bored.
Courteney has starred in movies like the horror-comedy “Shining Vale” and reprised her role as Gale Weathers once again in the fifth film in the “Scream” series.
Courtney has also launched a home-product line called Homecourt that her buddy Jennifer Aniston helped her promote in a hilarious video on Instagram.
All of that adds up to a bottom line that Celebrity Net Worth sets at $150 million.
Lisa Kudrow Keeps the Female Friends All At the Top of the Heap
Lisa Kudrow (aka Phoebe Buffay) has also found plenty of success post-“Friends.”
So much so that all three women in the six-person cast have out-earned their male counterparts.
Her latest project was the Netflix series “No Good Deed.” Before that, she starred in the HBO series “The Comeback.” Lisa played a B-list sitcom star trying to revive her career by appearing on reality television.
Celebrity Net Worth sets Lisa Kudrow’s wealth at $130 million.
David Schwimmer Has Diversified
Since his turn as the uptight but loveable Ross Gellar on “Friends,” David Schwimmer has been busy. He’s appeared in the critically acclaimed “Band of Brothers” and voiced roles in animated films like “Madagascar.” He’s also appeared on Broadway and branched out as a director and producer.
Add all that to his substantial residual checks, and Celebrity Net Worth sets his fortune at $120 million.
Matt LeBlanc Has Scaled Back On Acting Since Matthew Perry’s Death
Matthew Perry left an estate valued by Celebrity Net Worth at $120 million.
That plus the continuing “Friends” residuals went to his parents and half-siblings, according to US Weekly.
Meanwhile, Perry’s death hit Matt LeBlanc hard, causing him to pull out of the spotlight even further than he already had.
But even before that, Matt had been open about his love of “doing nothing” telling Conan O’Brien in 2017 that his ideal would be, quote, “Any typical day; sleep as long as you want, or get up early — if you want. It’s just not having to go somewhere or someone else telling you what you have to do. Maybe you go to the gym, or not go to the gym. Maybe you have nine cups of coffee, or none.”
And that $20 million in yearly residual checks makes nothing something that’s easy to achieve.
Still, Celebrity Net Worth estimates Matt’s fortune at $85 million.
