Fans of the beloved ’90s show “Friends” are well aware of the fact that Courteney Cox — who starred in the sitcom along with a group of IRL friends — is a talented actress as was the entire cast. But did you know that she’s also a super-talented drummer? The star thrilled fans with her musical skills by taking to Instagram on September 30 and sharing a video of herself playing drums along with Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit.”
In the caption, she wrote, “Almost there! Thanks to my mood booster / conductor @officedrummer [Richard Ray] #smellsliketeenspirit”
Fans & Famous Figures Loved What They Heard
There’s no doubt that Cox’s post showing her playing drums impressed her followers. In fact, a few of her famous friends left comments that showed they were more than a little appreciative of her musical skills. Leslie Mann wrote, “YESSSSS”
“Wow wow wow!!!!! This is so exciting! Love it! And you,” said actor Rita Wilson.
Actor and podcaster Dax Shepard also left a comment, saying, “YOU’RE SO CUTE!!!!! And COOL!!!”
“Yes sister yes haha 👏👏👏,” was a comment left by celebrity chef Jamie Oliver.
Fellow star Olivia Munn added, “You’re just so [expletive] talented. You play so many instruments it’s insane.”
Indeed, along with being a rockstar on the drums, Cox also plays the piano, according to Biography. That’s right, she’s a multitalented actres and musician.

That’s not to mention the person who left a comment, saying, “yess!! you are killing it!”
Yet another person revealed a goal that involved Cox, writing, “My dream to have a duo with you 🥹”
This Isn’t the First Time Cox Has Shown Off Her Drumming Skills
Although you may have missed it, Cox has actually shared a video in the past that gave fans a glimpse at her talent for drumming. On July 20, she hopped onto Instagram to post a look at her playing and was just as impressive.
In the video, you can see Cox banging on a drum kit that appears to be set up in her living room at home. It’s the same location where she could be seen playing in her newer video.
In the July 20 video, she was doing her best to perfect Justin Bieber’s song, “Daisies.” She wrote in the caption, “Didn’t get all the beats but fun trying to learn it. #daisies @lilbieber”
