In the preliminaries of the competition, which was held at the Impact Challenger Hall in Bangkok, Thailand, Henry suffered a serious injury when she fell from the stage during the evening gown round. Footage from her fall was shared on Instagram, and it looked scary. An update later came on her Instagram page, informing fans that there were life-threatening injuries.

“She was rushed to the Paolo Rangsit Hospital, where medical professionals are attending to her care and have advised that she is not suffering from any life-threatening injuries,” a statement on Instagram reads. “However, they continue to conduct tests to ensure her full recovery.”

Miss Universe Organization President, Raul Rocha, also made a statement on Instagram, offering fans an update on Miss Jamaica’s health and how, while she would remain “under observation for the rest of the night,” she had no broken bones. But this sadly was not the end of her health ordeal.

The Latest Miss Universe Health Update

On Monday, November 24, Rocha issued another statement regarding Henry’s health.

“The Miss Universe Organization wishes to address recent speculation by providing a clear and respectful update regarding Dr. Gabrielle Henry Miss Universe Jamaica 2025,” the statement on Instagram reads. “Out of respect for Dr. Henry and her family, the Organization maintains strict discretion regarding specific details of her medical status. We believe that matters concerning her health should be communicated only at the appropriate time and solely at the family’s discretion, or by Dr. Henry herself should she choose to do so.”

Rocha’s statement informed how medical treatment was sought directly after Henry’s fall. He was at the hospital himself to speak with the family. The Miss Universe organization will also cover “one hundred percent of all related expenses,” including accommodation for her family. The statement also addresses the seriousness of Miss Jamaica’s injuries.

“Over the past four days, there have been difficult moments and unexpected concerns,” the statement reads. “However, thanks to the excellent medical care provided, each issue was successfully resolved. Today, we are pleased to share that the latest medical report confirms that Dr. Gabrielle Henry is in good health and nearing discharge. We will continue to communicate only essential information with professionalism, sensitivity, and respect.”
