About the Annual Hollywood Christmas Parade

Along with many other organizations, the Hollywood Christmas Parade is supporting the US Marines Toys For Tots Programs this year.

The parade was hosted by Laura McKenzie and Erik Estrada, with pre-show co-hosts Elizabeth Stanton and Montel Williams. It was led by Grand Marshal Luke Wilson, an actor best known for his roles in “Legally Blonde” and “The Royal Tenenbaums,” and honored Emmy-nominated actor Anthony Anderson with the 2025 Humanitarian Award recipient. Anderson is best known for his starring role as Andre “Dre” Johnson in the sitcom “Black-ish.”

The Hollywood Christmas Parade is “a cherished tradition that kicks off the holiday season with spectacular fanfare,” the official website reads.

The 2026 Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art will shine a spotlight on its spring Costume Institute exhibition, “Costume Art.” At the helm of fashion’s biggest night are some of the most influential figures from entertainment, sports, and fashion.

Met Gala Co-Chairs Announced

Vogue announced on December 10 that the co-chairs for the 2026 Met Gala are Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour.

Next year’s spring event will mark Beyoncé’s first Met Gala appearance in a decade. She last walked the Met’s steps in 2016, when she attended the “Manus x Machina” gala in Givenchy Haute Couture. The singer has attended seven times since making her debut in 2008.

Details on “Costume Art”

“Costume Art,” curated by Andrew Bolton, will explore the relationship between clothing and the body beneath. It will be organized into a series of thematic body types and will include garments and artworks from across The Met’s vast collection, and feature both historical and contemporary pieces from the Costume Institute. “Costume Art” will be the first show held in The Met’s new Condé M. Nast Galleries, a nearly 12,000-square-foot space adjacent to the Great Hall.

“I wanted to focus on the centrality of the dressed body within the museum, connecting artistic representations of the body with fashion as an embodied art form,” Bolton said in a release on December 10. “Rather than prioritizing fashion’s visuality, which often comes at the expense of the corporeal, ‘Costume Art’ privileges its materiality and the indivisible connection between our bodies and the clothes we wear.”

The exhibition will be on view to the public from May 10, 2026, through January 10, 2027.

The evening’s formal dress code will be announced at a later date.

The Miss Universe Organization has issued a detailed update on Miss Jamaica, Dr. Gabrielle Henry, following her serious fall during the preliminary evening gown round on November 19. In a statement shared Monday, the organization confirmed she “suffered a serious fall through an opening on the stage,” resulting in an intracranial hemorrhage with loss of consciousness, a fracture, facial lacerations, and other massive injuries.

Henry was admitted to the intensive care unit in Bangkok, where she remained in critical condition under continuous neurological monitoring, and she continues to require 24-hour specialist care, according to the update.

MUO Says It Has Covered Medical Costs and Emergency Support

Henry is expected to return home to Jamaica “in the coming days,” according to the Miss Universe Organization, which said she will travel with a full medical escort and be transferred directly to a hospital for continued treatment.

The statement noted that the MUO has covered Henry’s “hospital, medical, and rehabilitation expenses” throughout her care in Thailand and has also paid for hotel and living costs for her mother and sister, who remained by her side.

The organization added that it is funding Henry’s medically supervised repatriation flight and has committed to covering all future medical expenses related to the incident.

“From the time the incident took place, the Miss Universe Organization has stood beside Gabrielle and her family as if she were their own, assuming full and immediate responsibility without hesitation,” the release said, with the Henry family expressing deep gratitude and calling the support an act of “devotion and protection.”

Henry and her family shared appreciation for the thousands of messages and prayers sent from Jamaica and around the world.

Miss Universe co-owner Raúl Rocha posted the statement on Instagram. “Thank God our Miss Universe Jamaica is preparing to return home,” he wrote.

“To all those who were concerned about her health, thank you so much for supporting us with your prayer chains.”

Henry continues to recover as she prepares for the next phase of treatment, surrounded by family.

If you weren’t aware, Heaton isn’t particularly tall, especially by Hollywood standards. In fact, the Cleveland Clinic points out that in the U.S., the average height for women is 5 feet 3.5 inches. That means the the actress is on the shorter side at 5 feet 2 inches, according to IMDB. That’s why she tends to wear shoes with high heels.

Anya Has Become ‘Obsessed with Fashion’

When it comes to fashion, Taylor-Joy is enjoying an evolving relationship.

“I was just unaware of fashion of a really long time,” she told Harper’s Bazaar in August 2024. “I immediately went straight into working acting jobs, and so the only way I saw clothes was as a means of finding a character. It was about building this other person.”

“Because I was getting picked up at from work at three o’clock in the morning and then going home exhausted, I would only really wear sweatpants,” she added.

“Fashion began as a means of feeling comfortable,” she explains. “The actual experience of a red carpet was so anxiety-inducing for me. I found that if I was making it about something more artful, then I just turned off a part of my brain that usually would be afraid and that made me excited about it instead. It really does feel like a kind of armour.”
