What’s Premiering on the Discovery Channel This Week

The Discovery Channel has two big shows airing new seasons this week, and here’s everything you need to know to watch your favorite reality programs.

The Discovery Channel made a name for itself by creating shows like “Deadliest Catch” and “Bering Sea Gold,” the former of which has been nominated for 63 Emmy Awards over the course of its run. The channel continues to produce reality shows featuring interesting people doing jobs previously not seen on TV.

Discovery Channel Shows This Week

According to Deadline, Discovery will be airing new seasons of two shows this week. “The Last Woodsmen” and “Street Outlaws: Locals Only” will both air the first episodes of their third seasons.

Per Discovery, “The Last Woodsmen” follows Jared Douglas and his logging crew in the Pacific Northwest as they risk their lives to to harvest the area’s most valuable trees. The new season starts on November 14, 2025 at 9 p.m. ET.

“Street Outlaws: Locals Only” has a different vibe than “The Last Woodsmen,” although both shows definitely fit the style of Discovery shows fans have come to know and love. The “Street Outlaws” spin-off show follows familiar faces Farmtruck and AZN as they find local racers to compete for a $5,000 prize and the chance to go head-to-head with a Street Outlaw.

“Street Outlaws: Locals Only” season three premieres November 16, 2025, according to Deadline.

Other Discovery Channel Premieres This Year

Although only two Discovery shows will air new episodes this week, the network has released a plethora of new and returning TV series in 2025. In January of this year, Discovery began airing “Expedition X” season nine and “Expedition Bigfoot” season six.

The Warner Bros network also premiered a new TV show, “Harpoon Hunters,” in January. According to a Discovery press release, the new series followed various fishing families in Cape Cod as they raced to catch the very valuable Atlantic bluefin tuna, for which they only use 10-foot electrified spears. The families only have four weeks to catch as many fish as they can before the limit is met. As each fish is worth upwards of $10,000, the stakes are high and a lot is on the line.

In February, Discovery aired “Operation Healing Heroes” season seven and “Contraband: Seized at the Border” season 6, as well as more episodes of “Destinations of the Damned with Zak Bagans” season 1 and others.

In March, Discovery aired another new show: Filthy Fortunes. Discovery calls the show a “a modern-day treasure hunt” in which Matt Paxton “travels the country searching for rare, big-ticket items hidden in cluttered, filthy homes. It’s a race to strike pay dirt as Matt cleans out the properties, selling his finds for big dollars.”

Various other shows aired on Discovery this year, but we don’t yet know which shows on Discovery’s slate have been renewed for another season, if any.
