Keith Urban Breaks Silence on Social Media

After weeks of silence following his separation from Nicole Kidman, country star Keith Urban has made a subtle but unmistakable return to social media — and it comes on his own terms.

He shared a new video from his reality-competition series “The Road,” recalling some of his more … interesting hairstyle days with longtime friend and collaborator Blake Shelton on Saturday, Nov. 15.

In the post, Urban and Shelton laugh over images showing the country singer’s long, blond locks and bold fashion choices from earlier in his career.

Shelton wrote in the caption, “You know you learn a lot when you’ve been on the road for more than a few years…. especially when it comes to your hair.. right @keithurban???”

During the humorous clip, Urban also showed an image of Shelton with longer locks.

This marks Urban’s first Instagram activity since Nicole Kidman filed for divorce after nearly 20 years of marriage.

Urban’s decision to resurface this way sends a clear message: he’s focused on where he is now.

By revisiting lighter, more playful memories on “The Road,” he’s speaking to his roots — and maybe also turning the page on a difficult chapter. Whether this marks a new, more open phase or simply a momentary return, fans are watching closely.

Urban Previously Discussed Life on ‘The Road’

During the first episode of “The Road,” which dropped in October, Urban discussed the difficulties of being away from his friends and family while touring, according to PEOPLE.

“Where do we start?” he told the cameras.

“It’s a calling and you’re born to do it — or you’re not gonna make it,” he noted.

“When you wake up on a tour bus at 3:30 in the morning and you’re sick as a dog, you’re in the middle of nowhere and you’ve got to play your fifth show later that night and you haven’t slept and you miss your friends and you’re missing your family and you’re completely lonely and miserable and sick and you say to yourself, ‘Why am I doing this?'” the 58-year-old questioned.

He landed on there was only one answer for it. “‘Because this is what I’m born to do.’ We’re going to find out who’s made of that stuff,” he concluded.

The Shock Split Was Announced in September

After 19 years of marriage, Kidman filed for divorce on September 30, 2025 in Nashville.

The split was cited as “irreconcilable differences.” The two share two children: Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.

While both Kidman and Urban has very relatively quiet since the announcement, Kidman recently attended a Sabrina Carpenter concert where she was “arrested” in a humorous skit during the show.
