Country music star Megan Moroney has addressed rumors that she is dating an NFL star during an interview. Moroney confirmed her current relationship status while discussing her love life and explained that she isn’t romantically involved with any football players – at least, not right now anyway.

As part of her appearance in the People StyleWatch cover, Moroney opened up about her current relationship status and addressed fan rumors that she is dating a major NFL star. There has been online speculation in recent weeks linking Moroney with San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa, but the musician has attempted to put a stop to the rumors.
Taking a no-nonsense approach, Moroney was blunt when saying, “I’m not dating right now at all. I’m too busy.”
Her explanation makes sense given that her latest album, “Cloud 9,” is due to release in February, 2026. Moroney has seemingly been focused on producing the latest album and delivering it early next year. She said, “It’s the most excited I’ve been about an album release so far, and I think it’s because I [had] the most time to work on this one.”
“It’s written from a perspective where my feet are really planted, and I feel really confident with where I’m at in my life and who’s around me,” Moroney revealed.
Megan Moroney Previously Denied She Was Dating Morgan Wallen
This is not the first time that Moroney has had to speak out about dating rumors. In 2024, she confirmed that she was not involved in a relationship with fellow country singer Morgan Wallen.
During an appearance on the “Call Me Daddy” podcast, she explained that the pair were close but were not “exclusively dating.”
She said,“At the end of the day, being honest with my songwriting is what’s gotten me this far. So I never let the possibility that people might speculate stop me from writing about how this situation made me feel… I think Morgan is great, and his new album [I’m the Problem] is great — he and I are still friends.”
Earlier this year she was also linked with another country star in the form of Riley Green when they were seen vacationing in the same location. “He was individually on his vacation with his friends. St. Barts is a popular place,” she said to Rolling Stone.
“It’s one of those things where if you know someone on a small island, you’re like, ‘Oh, [expletive], you’re here too.’ So it was fun. Just because we’re hanging out doesn’t mean we’re romantically dating. You know what I mean?”
