Kiefer Sutherland, best known for his Emmy-winning role as Jack Bauer in the series “24” and as President Tom Kirkman in “Designated Survivor,” is taking on a new role just in time for this holiday season.
What is ‘Tinsel Town’ About?
In an exclusive with The Hollywood Reporter, it was revealed that Brainstorm Media’s “Tinsel Town,” directed by Chris Foggin, is led by Sutherland and “Pitch Perfect” star Rebel Wilson.
Sutherland plays Bradley Mack, a washed-up Hollywood action star who heads to a small English village to play a small role in their Christmas pageant. As he prepares for the show, he bonds with their choreographer (Wilson) while taking the opportunity to reconnect with his estranged daughter.

The film also stars Derek Jacobi (The War Master), Mawaan Rizwan (Sex Education), Maria Friedman (East Enders), Jason Manford (Waterloo Road), Asim Chaudhry (The Sandman), Danny Dyer (Rivals), Ray Fearon (Beauty and the Beast), Lucien Laviscount (Emily in Paris), and James Lance (Ted Lasso), as reported by CBR.
“Tinsel Town” was written by Frazer Flintham, Adam Brown, Piers Ashworth, and Jake Brunger and produced by Matt Williams, Pascal Degove, and Ava Aashna Chopra.
The film is set to be released in theaters and On Demand on November 28.

Sutherland thanked the cast and crew of “Tinsel Town” in an Instagram post, showing how grateful he was to have a van on set that served baked goods from the popular British chain “Greggs.”
“Best day so far,” the actor said.
Wilson took to Instagram to document the film’s wrapping by showing off a carousel of photos from set, and fans of Christmas cheer had a lot to say in the comments.
“Aaaand that’s a wrap on TINSEL TOWN, a Christmas movie that’ll be out this year! Kiefer gave me this Polaroid camera on the last day as a present so I took these snaps of some of the brilliant cast & crew on set. Loved filming in Leeds, Knaresborough and Harrogate…being outside was like free cryotherapy!! (Also the Kylie Minogue panto number choreographed by Adam is probably my favorite thing in this film!),” Wilson wrote in her caption.
Wilson’s assistant on the film, Anastasia Harrold, gushed, “Great memories and hopefully many more to come! It went by too quickly! Xxx”
“Hope you enjoyed the hospitality of my home city. The restaurant you visited, Tharavadu, has amazing food. Looking forward to the film at Christmas,” someone else wrote.
Another fan commented what they were specifically looking forward to seeing. “A @kylieminogue panto… perfect ❤️ Look forward to seeing the film xx.”
Under the official SkyTV post where they revealed the trailer, fans continued to flood the comments with excitement.
Someone pointed out how happy they were with the cast by writing, “I can’t wait!!!! What a cast!”
