‘The Voice’ alum Christina Aguilera is getting into the holiday spirit. The singer released the first sneak peek of her upcoming concert film “Christmas in Paris,” giving fans an early taste of the festive production that will arrive in theaters in December. In the clip, Aguilera performs “My Favorite Things” in front of the Eiffel Tower as dancers, Christmas lights, and a full orchestra surround her.
Billboard reported that Aguilera filmed the performance on a terrace overlooking the iconic Paris landmark. The preview offers a glimpse of the glossy, cinematic tone the full special aims to deliver.
The teaser also signals Aguilera’s return to the holiday spotlight. Her last Christmas project was her album “My Kind of Christmas,” which has become a seasonal staple for many of her fans.
Paris Sets the Scene
In the sneak peek, Aguilera wears a white satin corset bodysuit paired with black gloves and red heels while she sings the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic. According to Billboard, the stage is decorated with Christmas trees and glowing lights, while dancers move around her in synchronized choreography. The Eiffel Tower shines in the background and creates the sense of a holiday postcard brought to life.
The concert film will feature more performances set against Parisian backdrops. Billboard reported that the production includes scenes filmed above the Musée du Quai Branly and inside the legendary Crazy Horse cabaret. The special blends holiday standards with a handful of Aguilera’s hits, creating a mix of nostalgia and spectacle.
Fathom Events, which will distribute the film, said the concert was performed before a small audience. The setting allows the production to offer a level of intimacy while keeping the visual scale of a major performance.
Release Dates and What Fans Can Expect
“Christmas in Paris” will play in theaters for two nights only on Dec. 14 and Dec. 21, according to Fathom Events. Tickets went on sale Nov. 7. It is not yet known whether the special will stream on digital platforms after the theatrical window.
The preview already highlights Aguilera’s vocal power, ornate costuming, and the winter-themed staging that anchors the film. Billboard noted that the performance of “My Favorite Things” is available to stream and serves as an early introduction to the visual and musical style of the full concert.
Fans can also expect Paris-focused cinematic interludes between songs. These moments will highlight the city’s romance during the holidays and offer a visual narrative that supports the musical sections.
The sneak peek captures the glamor and warmth that Aguilera often brings to her performances. If the full film delivers on the promise of its preview, “Christmas in Paris” may become a new seasonal tradition for viewers looking to welcome the holidays with a mix of elegance, nostalgia, and powerhouse vocals.
