Raven Birthday

It’s hard to believe the beloved Disney Channel hit classic “That’s So Raven” premiered almost 23 years ago, in January 2003, and its star, Raven-Symoné, has just turned 40 years old. The long-reigning Disney queen, who kicked off her acting career on “The Cosby Show,” celebrated the milestone birthday with a December 11 Instagram post that showed her spending time with family and friends, including two of her “That’s So Raven” castmates.

The icon posed in shades and a black Anti Social Social Club hoodie beside her television brother Kyle Massey, who played Corey, and Rondell Sheridan, who played Raven’s dad Victor Baxter. No one can forget Massey’s mischievous portrayal of Raven’s scheming little brother, and Sheridan’s hilarious turn as The Chill Grill owner.

Along with her castmates, Raven was surrounded by several more loved ones for her birthday celebration. They of course included her wife Miranda Maday, whom she married in June 2020, per People. In one photo, Raven leans in to give Maday a sweet kiss on the cheek.

Raven caption on her birthday post was joyful and overflowing with gratitude. She wrote, “I want to thank everyone for showing love and support for my 40th year on this planet. Seeing everyone’s faces and reading everyone’s text messages has truly touched my heart and soul.”

She continued, “I’ve become very emotional, so I’m gonna keep this short” before declaring “love y’all and let’s have a bomb 2025 together!”

Fans Reacted to ‘That’s So Raven’ Cast Reunion

Seeing Raven with her castmates got fans super nostalgic. One wrote, “Seeing Kyle and Rondell just unlocked my childhood memories. Wow! I’m so happy you enjoyed your special day.”

“40??? You raised me, OMG,” said another.

Someone else said, “Not Cory and Victor being there. I feel old! Happy birthday, one of my childhood heroes.”

Some celebrities also joined the comments to recognize Raven for her special day. Tamar Braxton wrote, “40!!!! Happy birthday,” before adding a red heart emoji to show love.

“Love Affair” rapper Lil Twist simply wrote, “Happy birthday,” before leaving a string of emojis that included a goat, possibly to call Raven “the greatest of all time.”

“That’s So Raven” wrapped up its original run on November 10, 2007, overlapping slightly with the spinoff “Cory In the House,” which featured Cory and Victor moving to D.C. as Victor becomes a presidential chef. It aired for two seasons between 2007 and 2008.

Whether you know Raven-Symoné from “The Cosby Show” or Disney‘s “That’s So Raven,” there’s a very good chance that you were first introduced to the star before she became an adult. Starting in the industry when she was just 16-months old, Raven-Symoné is celebrating her 40th birthday today and looks just as amazing as ever!

Just take a peek at the star speaking onstage during the 2025 Teen Vogue Summit in Los Angeles on September 20, while wearing rose-tinted glasses and a colorful jacket.

Raven-Symoné Grew Up in Show Business

Raven-Symoné was born on December 10, 1985, and started working in the entertainment industry not long after.

“From the age of 16 months, I knew that my job was to entertain other people,” she said during a conversation with Demi Lovato for People in September 2024. She admitted, “That’s a mind thing in itself.”

She also claimed that the families of child performers sometime forget that “children, young kids, are performing for their parent. They’re performing for their parents’ love and affection and their, ‘Good job!'”

Beyond that, she noted, “And yes, it’s a lot of money, it’s a lot of money. And money does crazy [expletive].”

How Raven-Symoné’s Relationship With Work Has Changed

Raven-Symoné also opened up about her relationship with her career while talking to Vanity Fair in July 2023.

“As a very young child, I was taught that this was a job,” she said. “This was my version of nine-to-five, as was school. I had to show up. I had to be prepared no matter what, because I could get fired and then things would go to hell. I was taught to always be on time, early, know my lines, smile when someone wants to take a picture with you, always say yes, and know that every part of my life will be scrutinized for the rest of my life.”

“As I got older, I realized that this is a job,” she continued. “I have to always come to work prepared. I am always on time. I don’t always know my lines, but that’s not because I don’t want to—that’s just because I’m old now, and they don’t stick well in my brain.”

She added, “Now, as an adult, it’s always important to keep your hand out for those who want to step up. I think a lot of the times, I find [that] people in positions of power—not as much now, but back in the day—like to gatekeep, and I’ve always prided myself on, if somebody has a dream that I can help them accomplish, I’m going to help them accomplish that.”

Pop singer and former Disney Channel star Miley Cyrus has opened up about the prospect of a "Hannah Montana" reboot ahead of its 20th anniversary.

The recently engaged Miley Cyrus, who rose to fame as a star on the Disney Channel, has given her thoughts on the future of “Hannah Montana” and the potential for a reboot of the show. Speaking in an interview ahead of the series’ 20th anniversary in 2026, former ‘Voice’ coach Cyrus explained her thinking about whether she would return to the role and what she thinks about the part being recast as part of a possible reboot.

Miley Cyrus Gives Update on ‘Hannah Montana’ Reboot and Future

Following her engagement to Maxx Morando, Cyrus spoke to Billboard and was asked about how she feels about returning to “Hannah Montana” and if she would enjoy seeing a reboot of the Disney Channel series.

“I don’t know if there is a new Hannah,” Miley said when she was asked about the part possibly being recast. “This is the only Hannah.”

She continued, “For me, I love looking back at the growth for both of us because it’s very rare that someone grows up with their fanbase. When I was 15 years old, I’d look out and see 15-year-olds and now I’m a grown woman, I look out and see other grown people. So what I want to do is honor the longevity of the relationship that we built.”

“Hannah Montana, it outgrew the fantasy,” she continued. “It became the reality of my life. Something that was about a regular girl getting to have this extraordinary life by being someone that she’s not and then turning my life and having this life because of being who I really am and authenticity. So getting to celebrate that—20 years is a long time.”

She had earlier suggested that something was being planned to celebrate the show’s anniversary next year. While appearing on “Good Morning America” last week, Cyrus said she was busy working on plans for the celebrations. “How can I honor Hannah in such a special celebration for us all?” Miley said. “I’m excited to celebrate her.”

Cyrus Gives Update on Dolly Parton’s Health

Cyrus also recently provided a health update on Dolly Parton, who is her godmother. While attending the premiere of “Avatar: Fire and Ash” she was asked about Parton and

“She’s always going to keep the show going. The show must go on. So she’s just excited to get back to work,” Cyrus said. While she did not give any details, the fact that she was so open about her dedication to working hard suggests that nothing major is slowing Parton down right now.

That should give some relief to fans who have been concerned for the singer’s health after she cancelled a number of shows.

Lacey Chabert at Disney World

During the Hallmark Channel holiday special that premiered on December 6, 2025, the network’s queen of Christmas, Lacey Chabert, delivered a huge announcement.

Appearing in a glimmering silver dress at Disney World, with Mickey and Minnie by her side and Cinderella’s castle illuminated behind her, Chabert revealed that she’ll star in a 2026 Hallmark Christmas movie filmed at the Happiest Place on Earth. It will mark the first-ever movie partnership between Hallmark and Disney World, according to Variety. And fans at the park have already spotted Chabert and the star-studded cast filming in early December.

Lacey Chabert Says She’s ‘Honored’ to Make a Movie at Disney World

During the “Hallmark Christmas Experience: A Hometown Holiday Special” on December 6, host Benjamin Ayres threw the broadcast to Orlando, where Chabert excitedly told fans she was at “the most magical place on Earth.”

She continued, “I am incredibly excited and so honored to share that I will be starring in the all-new 2026 Hallmark movie ‘Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True,’ filming right here on location and Walt Disney World Resort. I love coming here with my family, and I always thought it would be the absolute perfect setting for a Hallmark Christmas movie!”

Plot & Cast for Lacey Chabert’s New Disney World Movie

In “Holiday Ever After,” Chabert will be partnered with leading man Travis Van Winkle, per Variety. According to IMDb, the actor has appeared over the last couple of years in recurring roles on Netflix’s “You” and “FUBAR. He last appeared on Hallmark in 2021’s “‘Tis the Season to Be Merry” opposite Rachael Leigh Cook.

According to press materials from Hallmark, the “Holiday Ever After” cast will feature some big names –and Disney favorites — including funnyman Richard Kind, who voices Bing Bong in Disney’s “Inside Out,” and Christy Carlson Romano, who starred on “Even Stevens” and is known as the iconic voice of Kim Possible. The cast also will include “General Hospital” actor Bryce Durfee, Hallmark newcomer Taegen Burns, child actor Asher Alexander, and a cameo from “Sandlot” alum Patrick Renna.

Hallmark’s movie synopsis says main character Lindsey, played by Chabert, “and her extended family head to Walt Disney World to spend a magical Christmas together. But the dream of a jolly holiday gets quickly dashed when Lindsey discovers her room is next door to Philip (Van Winkle), a disastrous first date she recently had, who’s also there on a family trip. As Lindsey and Philip’s paths cross throughout their stay, the frost starts to thaw as they learn they’re not so different from each other after all. Thanks to some Walt Disney World magic, the holiday wish Lindsey made in Cinderella Fountain just might turn their rivalry into romance.”

The movie was written by Ryan Landels, who’s also directing. He has experience with both Hallmark and Disney, having written and directed the 2024 Hallmark Christmas movies “Santa Tell Me” and “Sugarplummed,” as well as Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast: A 30th Celebration.”

Fans Have Spotted Lacey Chabert & Cast Filming at Disney World

Chabert is currently in Kansas City for the second weekend of the Hallmark Christmas Experience, but has already been spotted filming at Disney World in early December. Multiple fans have posted videos on social media of Chabert and her castmates in action.

One theme park influencer shared a video (above) from Disney’s Hollywood Studios, trying to figure out who the stars were. When he realized one was Chabert, he exclaimed, “Dude! That’s the chick from ‘Mean Girls!'” (Could someone please inform him she’s also been in approximately one million Hallmark movies?)

Another park visitor posted a similar video on TikTok of the cast talking in between takes at Hollywood Studios. Someone commented, “That’s me and my husband in the red as background extras.”

Someone else captured Chabert and Van Winkle talking with a crew member in another area of the park, in another video posted on TikTok. And another fan posted a TikTok video of Chabert and Van Winkle leaving a filming spot as she shouted to them, “That take was so fetch!”

“Holiday Ever After” will premiere during the 17th annual Countdown to Christmas in 2026. Hallmark will also partner with Disney on a “collection of products inspired by the movie” greeting cards, ornaments, gifts, and wrapping paper.

Frank Gehry Dies at 96

Frank Gehry, the groundbreaking architect whose sculptural designs reshaped skylines and cultural landmarks across the globe, has died at 96. He passed away on Friday, December 5, at his home in Santa Monica after a brief respiratory illness. His chief of staff, Meaghan Lloyd, confirmed his death, which was first reported by The New York Times.

The Canadian-born, California-based architect was responsible for some of the most recognizable buildings of the modern era, including the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Chicago, and the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao.

His sweeping metal structures, often compared to large-scale works of art, cemented his status as one of the most influential and visionary designers of the last half-century.

A Career That Redefined What Buildings Could Be

Gehry first gained widespread attention in the 1970s after designing his unconventional Santa Monica home, a project that helped cement his reputation as an iconoclast.

View of the new Guggenheim museum by the river Bil

His bold approach led to global acclaim and, in 1989, the Pritzker Prize, architecture’s highest honor.

When Vanity Fair profiled him in 2010, the magazine described him as “the most important architect of our age.”

He often spoke about pushing against design norms. “I was rebelling against everything,” Gehry told the Times in 2012, as quoted by The New York Times.

Of the minimalist styles dominating architecture at the time, he said, “I thought it was snotty and effete. It just didn’t feel like it fit into life.”

A ‘Starchitect’ With an Unfiltered Edge

Gehry became one of the first figures in his field to be labeled a “starchitect,” known not only for his boundary-breaking projects but also for his candid public presence.

In 2014, during an award ceremony in Spain, he famously flipped off a reporter whose question irritated him and dismissed “98 percent of everything that is built and designed today” as “pure s—.”

Despite the controversies, his influence reached far beyond architecture, shaping culture, tourism, and the entertainment world, where many of his buildings served as backdrops for film and television.

From Frank Goldberg to a Global Innovator

Born Frank Goldberg, he later adopted the surname Gehry, according to the NYT.

Before finding his path in architecture, Gehry spent a brief period in the Army and later enrolled at the University of Southern California. He began as a ceramics student before shifting to architecture, a decision that went on to reshape the discipline and define his career.

Gehry married his first wife, Anita Snyder, with whom he shared two daughters, Brina and Leslie. Leslie died in 2008, and the marriage ended in the 1960s.

In 1975, Gehry married Berta Aguilera, who survives him. He is also survived by his sons, Sam and Alejandro, and his daughter, Brina, from his first marriage.

Disney’s 'Raven’s Home' co-stars Anneliese van der Pol and Johnno Wilson quietly welcomed their first child, a baby girl.

Anneliese van der Pol and her husband, Johnno Wilson, just stepped into a brand-new chapter. The longtime Disney stars have welcomed their first child together, a baby girl, according to People. The couple, both 41, first shared their pregnancy news in June and expressed how excited they were to be growing their family.

Van der Pol, who grew up with two sisters, said the idea of having a daughter immediately felt right. She told the outlet that she was thrilled to be “bringing another girl into the sisterhood” and admitted she did not realize how much she wanted a girl until their gender reveal, when Wilson hit a golf ball that burst into pink powder. She explained that while a healthy baby was all she hoped for, she felt proud to be raising a girl today and joked that although she does not care what career her daughter chooses, “she WILL be a feminist.”

The pair, who met while filming “Raven’s Home,” married in December 2024 in Santa Barbara after falling in love playing ex-spouses on the sitcom. They have since shared several moments from their journey to parenthood, including a baby shower in August where van der Pol celebrated in a soft pink dress and showed off her growing bump.

A Full-Circle Moment for the Former Co-Stars

Van der Pol and Wilson’s path to parenthood has been a meaningful shift in their relationship. As reported earlier this year, the couple once agreed they would not have kids and planned to focus on their careers and travel instead. Over time, they checked in with each other and realized their plans had changed. Van der Pol said she discovered she was pregnant after nearly starting IVF. She surprised Wilson by placing the positive test on his pillow, a moment he figured out as he walked in with her morning coffee.

The couple’s love story began in 2017 on the set of “Raven’s Home,” where Wilson immediately felt a connection. They later reconnected at the season one wrap party and have been together ever since. Their relationship became public in 2020, followed by an engagement in 2023 and a courthouse wedding the next year.

Preparing for Parenthood and Welcoming Baby Girl

Throughout her pregnancy, van der Pol told People that the experience had been peaceful and positive. Wilson added that, thanks to friends and family who were already parents, they felt prepared for anything. They both acknowledged that many people warned them about the challenges of pregnancy and the newborn phase, but van der Pol shared she felt fortunate to have had a wonderful pregnancy overall.

Ahead of their daughter’s arrival, the couple attended Babylist Beverly Hills to test strollers, carriers and diaper bags as they prepped for life with a newborn. Van der Pol and Wilson also said the Babylist platform was a major help while building their registry and seeking advice from loved ones.

With their baby girl now here, the pair has officially entered parenthood. “We’re so excited,” van der Pol told People.

“Mormon Wives” star Whitney Leavitt may have danced her final number on “Dancing with the Stars” season 34, but her spotlight is far from dimming. Fresh off her surprising semifinal elimination and her recent Broadway announcement, Leavitt has fans buzzing again with her most recent TikTok video where she hints at an exciting Disney collaboration.

Leavitt to Make Her Broadway Debut

Though she didn’t end up winning the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy this year, Leavitt will be making her Broadway debut in the Tony-winning revival of “Chicago” next year at the Ambassador Theatre. Much like fellow “DWTS” season 32 contestant, Ariana Madix, Leavitt will also be stepping into the role of Roxie Hart on February 2, 2026, for a limited engagement through March 15.

The Utah mom took to her Instagram on Monday, December 1 to drop the exciting news.

“Grateful beyond words to ANNOUNCE that I will be joining @chicagomusical in the iconic role of Roxie Hart 💕 beginning Feb.2nd 2026! See you in New York City!” she wrote in the caption of her post, which featured Leavitt sitting in a chair, aptly dressed in Roxie Hart attire for the occasion.

Leavitt Teases Another Upcoming Project

Leavitt posed behind a desk while lip-syncing to a popular TikTok sound from Disney Channel actress Debby Ryan, who had a quote from one of her older interviews go viral.

“My one thing was I went into the Disney Channel building and I sat down with the president of Disney Channel and I said, ‘I want to make history.’ And that’s what this is,” Ryan had said, and Leavitt repeated before the camera panned further away to reveal that she was standing behind a “Disney/ABC Television” sign.

“I wasn’t gunna post this yet.. but I’m JUST TOO EXCITED!” Leavitt wrote in the caption of her video.

After such a momentous week for Leavitt, fans were delighted to see the star teasing yet another new project, and they couldn’t help but speculate as to what it might be in the comments.

“Anastasia isn’t Disney! Butttt Hercules?? Whitney as Meg?!” one user commented on TikTok. Leavitt liked this comment and responded with, “👀”

Another fan wrote, “Live action Anastasia??” and Leavitt liked that comment as well.

Some fans were expressing their hopes for Leavitt to expand her acting to films. “Whitney, you need to be the next Christmas hallmark movie girl,” someone else wrote, causing Leavitt to reply with, “😏”

Fans will be anxiously waiting until Leavitt is able to reveal more details. She liked a comment that said, “what does this mean?? I’m so excited without even knowing, but tell us more, please ❤” which hopefully means all will be revealed soon.

Iam Tongi is helping Disney open the holiday season with a burst of island spirit. Tongi performs “Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride” during the 2025 broadcast of “The Wonderful World of Disney: Holiday Spectacular.” The special airs Dec. 1 on ABC. Disney filmed his segment at Aulani, A Disney Resort and Spa in Hawaii. The musician returned to his roots for the performance, which became one of the most anticipated moments of the entire holiday special.

Disney Marks a Milestone Year

The holiday program enters its 10th year with a lineup that spans multiple parks and resorts. According to Disney Parks Blog, crews recorded performances across Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, Disneyland Resort in California, and Aulani in Hawaii. The network will air the special at 8 p.m. EST and PST, and Disney says viewers can stream the episode the next day on Disney Plus, Hulu, and the official Disney YouTube channel.

ABC lists Derek Hough as the host, with actor Ginnifer Goodwin serving as narrator. The performers include Gwen Stefani, Bebe Rexha, Aloe Blacc, Good Charlotte, Coco Jones, Mariah the Scientist, and Nicole Scherzinger. ABC reports that each act filmed its segment at a different Disney location. The network says the format helps the special highlight varied holiday settings and performances.

The show is not recorded live. Disney Tourist Blog, which covered filming at Magic Kingdom, reports that crews shot multiple scenes over several days. The blog notes that the special has become a tradition for many viewers who enjoy seeing Disney parks decorated for the holidays, even if they cannot travel in person.

Tongi’s Cultural Moment

Tongi rose to national attention after winning Season 21 of “American Idol,” and he has remained closely connected to Hawaiian culture throughout his career. Disney selected him to perform a song that carries emotional meaning for many Hawaii residents. “Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride” first appeared in the animated film “Lilo and Stitch” and continues to represent themes of family, community, and Hawaiian pride.

KITV in Honolulu reported that Tongi filmed his performance at Aulani with support from local musicians, including members of the Kamehameha Schools Children’s Chorus. The station said the collaboration gave the holiday special a uniquely local touch and allowed young performers from Hawaii to participate in a major national broadcast.

Tongi’s segment is expected to stand out in a show filled with pop and holiday standards. His performance ties the special to its Hawaiian location while offering viewers a reminder that holiday celebrations vary across cultures. Disney often blends nostalgia with modern talent, and Tongi’s presence broadens that tradition by bringing a fresh voice rooted in place and heritage.

“The Wonderful World of Disney: Holiday Spectacular” remains one of the network’s most-watched seasonal events. With Tongi bringing Hawaiian warmth to the lineup, Disney adds a performance that reflects both cultural pride and holiday joy. His song choice reminds viewers that the season is not only about snowfall and winter lights. It can also be about sunshine, ocean breezes, and the shared feeling of home.
